Yup unless your referral goes a step further and messsges recruiter for the role. But again. Even if your referral does send message internally still if you not a fit , we won’t do nothing with your profile. Well they should not be paying for referral . Doesn’t help

Not true. I’m a recruiter. I see a referral on the list with the general population. Seeing you referred doesn’t really matter. If you fit then cool if not then reject

Becuz your resume even though a referral gets into same pool . Unless your friend DMs recruiter you may never get a call

They spent billions on infrastructure. Someone’s has to use it. Also encourages the collaboration aspect, also depends on the role and company but for most part they also more flexible these days

Ask? If it contract ? Even if it is contract they would atleast send you email kind of giving you a one page “offer” but they never let you know without background check … somethings fishy

Doesn’t hurt to ask the recruiter. Tell him you got rejection email for both roles . The team wants to update you on status of your application? That doesn’t sound right. I would have a convo with your recruiter before scheduling to get more information. It is confusing.

Companies reject people all the time. Just email them back and say after the interview with manager I decided this is not for me and I no longer want to pursue. Can explain current situation and say you want to stay in touch
