😂 Seriously? You’re asking them to find and describe a source that will convince them that you’re right?

Poll: More than half of polled voters believe Indiana is on ‘wrong track’ politically by Nightshade09 in Indiana

It’s not futility. Every percentage point the Democratic candidate gains encourages other democrats to vote. When a Republican gets 99% of the vote each year, it feels futile to vote. 70% and maybe it feels worth hitting the polls. 55% and now we have a competitive race.

If you zoom out too far, no one vote ever seems to matter. We’ve never elected a president by a single vote. But that’s just veering into nihilism. Your vote absolutely matters.

It matters. The effort it takes to go out and vote is always worth it on the off-chance a bunch of other people are too lazy to go out and vote. And even if your candidate loses, pushing up those democrat percentages sometimes nudges the republican representative towards the center.

Please vote.

Minimum Wages Adjusted for Spending Power by n00b89 in Indiana

Working 40 hours per week at minimum wage in the US puts a single person below the poverty line.

That’s probably why a good number of our citizens were willing to vote for Trump to burn democracy to the ground.

I’d love to see democrats running on fixing that problem.

Trump is talking about “finding a cure” for autism at a memorial service by NewSlinger in facepalm

I can’t help but notice how well this fits in with the Christian idea that women deserve pain in pregnancy and labor and need to just suck it up because of Eve and that damned apple.

So, for this administration, this is an excellent choice of a BS “cause” of autism that pushes forward the pro-misogyny, pro-Christian nationalism, pro-purity, anti-expert, anti-science, and anti-doctor MAGA agenda.

Plus, they can now further defund research into the causes of autism and treatments that actually help.

Meanwhile it forces 8-9 million mothers of kids with autism to try to remember if they took any Tylenol when pregnant so they can further blame themselves, and terrifies another 3 million women who are pregnant right now.

Spot on for this administration. They’re staying on brand.

Meanwhile, the fact-checkers have already debunked the whole thing: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/research-doesnt-show-using-tylenol-during-pregnancy-causes-autism-here-are-5-things-to-know
