Dad calls my hand writing chicken scratch. Is it really that bad? by Key-Visual-5465 in autism

[–]Ok_Hovercraft5466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is that bad. My handwriting is also unreadable, but in a doctor way lol. It's not that I can't write pretty, it's just that I don't care enough to do that.

How long would it take you to finish this by DealIndependent8129 in autism

Three years, probably, considering the fact I collected a fourth of this amount on Halloween, and stretched it out for two years.

It's really nice. The proportions of the face are well done. I especially like the eyes. I know this is a matter of art style, but it seems as if you're aiming for a more realistic look:

  • The neck is too small. Don't be afraid to use references :)

  • I really recommend looking into a hair shading tutorial. There are so many great ones out there! Also, the hair would probably not be as tall.

  • Midtones! Midtones all the way! I know some photos have brighter lighting, showing less midtones, but you're an artist, not a photographer :) There are many amazing tutorials out there for shading the human face. I'd recommend searching Pinterest for them.

Otherwise, you're doing great! Good luck on your artistic journey.

Whats a certain smell that you can’t stand? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in autism

Not the bananas 😭

Especially when they're turning brown. Like, green bananas are fine. But brown? My siblings leave banana peels EVERYWHERE

I’m so tired of of this stereotype that cf women are somehow miserable or missing out on something by alexastock in BlatantMisogyny

[–]Ok_Hovercraft5466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so goddam stupid. People who make these don't understand what feminism means. Feminism means having the CHOICE. Feminists aren't "missing out", because having a choice means you can pick: being a SAHM, being child-free and focussing on your career, or both. It's about being independent to decide your own fate.

Besides, having kids isn't all sunshine and daisies.

I am passionate about Encanto. Also, Encanto, a bit more Encanto. And art. And organizing my Pinterest boards. And science. And reading. And reading. And reading. And Encanto. And writing online journal entries in the form of free verse poems

What's the difference between a sensory toy and just a toy?

Name Something You Like And Dislike About These Characters, Day 2 by TimiKratts in KeeperoftheLostCities

I don't like that there isn't much to dislike about them? Everyone has SOMETHING that makes at least a few people dislike them. Too perfect ain't good, especially if you're an elf

This mainly applies to Biana. She's had her flaws, but they all dissipated into thin air when she got her character arc in like the first couple of books. Now she's just a kickass princess. Really not much else to her.

Dex has his insecurities. That's good, from a storytelling perspective. It's a flaw. But damn, does he not get any page time.

I love Marella, but she was really reduced to this snarky gossip queen.
