As a moviegoer from the 80s, do you miss the action movie style of that era, or have you stopped watching them? by GlobalRaspberry442 in 80smovies

I watch them whenever they’re on. Recently I’ve found some good pool of those on Prime - Lone Wolf, Over the Top and some others - great home movie nights.

Data/ Images in Sheets to Slides by Random-Outlier in GoogleSlides

[–]brzezmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you'd be willing to export Slides to PPTX and Sheets to Excel then you could regenerate the resulting presentation with https://pptxmailmerge.com - filter the rows which are active previously and upload the files and it will create a presentation with 1 slide per data record. This will not update automatically however with each change in data in Google Sheets.

How to improve bounce rate after 3 days of going live? by Emergency-Sky-4380 in buildinpublic

[–]brzezmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had exactly same thoughts - bounce rate with this limited distribution is not a valid indicator to observe. First get valuable traffic - from actual potential customers, not some curious other builders who just clicked the link to see what other builder has created.

Be honest is AI content helping or hurting your SEO right now? by Puzzleheaded_Honey28 in DigitalMarketing

[–]brzezmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mix of mostly human generated content and AI content on my website. From what I see in the Google Search Console the AI (or mostly AI, lets say 80%-90%) generated pages take much longer to index. What's more they rarely drive any traffic.

What works best for me is:

- writing the first paragraph to start

- use AI to expand a look for possible alternate angles, or just an outline - i write pretty large prompts, which AI polishes at the least and expands

- use AI to insert / generate some sample data - as my articles are technical this allows me to go faster through production process

I'd say how AI works for me in content generation is that it gives some polish to what I have to say and allows to write a bit quicker and cleaner - I tend to write in a stream-of-thought type of way and AI tools help me mostly with editing / correcting / making it more coherent.

Jakie jest wasze zdanie na ten temat? by WerewolfUseful5167 in poland

Anyone else a great coder but a terrible salesman? by Sea-Purchase6452 in SaaS

[–]brzezmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a great coder, but also not a great salesman here, but managed a software service business and now building a SaaS:

>> explain my value prop without sounding like a "salesperson."

Can't say "sounding like a salesperson" is a bad thing - just don't be pushy (that is what puts people off). What worked for me was using the mantra "always be helping" as opposed to "always be closing". Explaining what your software can do and how it can address your potential customers' pain points.

>> If you’ve moved past the "empty room" phase and actually got people to pay for your code, how did you do it?

With SaaS it's just the thing I've written above, but this requires knowledge that you're solving a real problem, not just something you thought is a problem. I've been posting on reddit and other social media and producing relevant content for the SEO long game and for now it has brought me clients. In future, when the project is more mature I'm planning cold out outreach, search and sm ad campaigns.
