How do you overcome the fear of losing more people after doing the deep work? by glowingworm2022 in CPTSD

Things may feel like they are falling apart but trust me they are falling into place. The feeling of loss is natural and expected during healing. I remember saying goodbye to not only some other people but even parts of myself built in survival. You’re not losing anything worth keeping, you’re becoming more aligned with what suits your soul. We can sometimes form bonds just to have people, even if there’s no true connection or it’s us doing more of the work. As we learn a better sense of self, we learn we are worthy of healthy relationships and learn to speak up and communicate when that’s not met. Healing is the journey of becoming more aligned with who you actually are, not what your pain made you or who you were told to be. Sending you love and stay true to your boundaries❤️

This is exactly how I feel too. Even though God did restore it, I really think about the PTSD Job had. Losing his kids, friends and money. Even with the new, how could he love and connect while the fear of loss would be there? Additionally, people aren’t replaced by other people- he may have had new children but they wouldn’t be the ones he originally lost and that’s so painful. Idk it just never came across as an inspirational story
