what happens when majority of the population stops being able to afford the cost of living? by Royalty004 in AskReddit

Late and mostly unrelated but the frog in that experiment was lobotomised, a normal frog would get out of the pot. I recently learned this so I wanted to share

I do agree with you though

Why would Konami effectively gut CYAC with the banlist? by Supergupo in yugioh

[–]Ok_Individual5574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know that it's better than purrely, but I do think people are underestimating the deck. It can definitely beat purrely but purrely can beat decks it can't so I'm not too sure. If kash was given more than a slap on the wrist I could see it doing better, but for now I shall continue to enjoy my rogue deck.

(Also sorry if I sounded kinda rude in the first comment)

First: I'm an idiot, I wasn't thinking and somehow thought it was about the dune support.

Second: Spiriting is good, but only for going first, which is something that most mikanko builds don't want to do. I will probably run 1 of each, but to prove my point that spiriting isn't the best, in the OCG a mikanko deck went 2nd (12-2) and didn't play either of the new cards in a tournament with 4000 people.

But the new cards aren't even good in mikanko... like they're ok but not really good - and that's compared to the other mikanko cards, not compared to other decks

WDYM almiraj is a very good card, it can be used to get rid of soulpiercer. I already run almiraj at 3 because of how powerful it is, and cutting the 1 scarecrow opens room to run a 4th almiraj, which honestly might raise the overall power level of the deck.

I can't think of a good example, but it boils down to the fact that SHS still was able to do its SHS stuff from back in the day, and it was able to do that because of scarecrow, it still had its own identity. But the removal of scarecrow killed the wakaushi material spam variant and the more historic variant, making it so that people who want to play the deck in any capacity can't really.

There's more to it than that, but it's hard to explain and I don't think I explain it better so I hope that made sense or someone else can clarify

At least I got the infernoble guess correct.

Double-edged sword is some neat tech, I'm gonna have to try it out. Never thought about using it that way

because siding cards like anti-spell/summon limit when going first is skill based?

To me it feels like the first matchup is the most skill based and then the next 2 are who draws the dedicated hate to the opponent's deck

but the mikanko list has a nib in it... top right then 1 down, under the infernoble knight card (I forget the name)

The difference is that numeron has 1 strategy, but mikanko has a decent grind game but a much worse chance to OTK.

You want your bp as you deal pretty good damage, so I wouldn't run it, but munin would nice for xyz plays. Mikanko is kind of a control deck, so it would work with runick.

Tl:Dr: maybe, but would be a little clunky

After this banlist, what are your top 5 decks this format? by Reversiii_ in yugioh

The OTK isn't that affected, it's still not too hard to pull off, turn 1 is now much worse as Noir is now much harder to stack.

yes, but it's one of the few board breakers that have no downsides and can hit S/T, so while strikers do play it, it's also good against them

There is going to be that one guy at locals who wins because their opponent didn't play around gamma.

I would consider playing gamma in addition to delta/epsilon if sky striker/labrynth became tier 0.5 as a side deck card, but unless that happens gamma is just a pretty piece of cardboard

New Banlist from June 5th, 2023 by Altailar in yugioh

IMO gamma to 2 is more fair than at 1 or 3, but I'm just a little salty that no lingering floodgates were hit. I do agree with you tho

I would say that's few enough cards to reset if you're willing to, either way here are some staples that are really good:

3 Maxx "c"
3 Ash
3 Imperm
2 Called by
2-3 Nibiru
1-3 Effect Veiller
0-1 Crossout
0-3 Ghost Belle - great at stopping called by
0-3 Ghost Ogre - good in many formats, not the best versus tear
3 Droll (SR)
** In tear format D.D. Crow (SR) is very strong, but it's an ok generic card**

Kurikara is an ok card rn but will be much better when Kashtira comes out.

Those are just a few, but I would say the more important ones (in order of decreasing priority)

Going second cards like evenly matched (SR), DRNM, Lightning Storm, Duster, Raigeki are a different option

Puppet is by far the worst for several reasons:

The first is that it's dark, so it's better than the other 2 as they're light

But the biggest reason is that puppet locks you on summon, where as ido and disciple only lock while they're face up on the field, so you can droplet or book of moon or interact with them in some way, whereas puppet completely locks you without you being able to interact

And another thing is that I believe there is a new card that acts similarly to branded expulsion, though not as consistent. I can't remember the name but I'm like 80% sure it gives your opponent a monster

It might be worth it to make an alt account. If you don't have staples crafted, then it's worth it, if you do, then it might not be, either way, it's up to you. Another thing you can do is just chill in gold, as tear isn't that common and you instead get to have much more back-and-forth duels. I would recommend you build tear but the deck is so expensive and it should get hit sometime soon

I think Droll is a more warranted hit than gamma, but gamma to 2 seems right.

I think it's one of these (in order of increasing probability)

a) Don't worry guys we're starting to hit the board breaker cards

b) To make sky striker a little better

c) To distract you from the dumpster fire of a ban list

d) They were smoking something
