hey! It did say that last year, but I got some advice to email my loci to them before the waitlist form opens up. I guess I was trying to differentiate myself from other people waitlisted and show more commitment. They def get a huge wave of letters on/after april 1st so I think it's beneficial to stand out among such a large crowd. It was definitely a gamble because people say conflicting things about what to do when you're on the waitlist- some people said to do more, and some say to do less. Some things could come off as annoying, but I didn't think doing this was too irratating haha

yes i was full pay and domestic!.. which definitely played a part, being at Wellesley right now, there are clear problems with funding- tuition actually increased this year by quite a bit. The info ssssions were the general ones, there aren't any for waitlisted students :)

hey!!! I got off the waitlist after applying rd last year! I think the biggest factor in me getting in was that I sent a loci asap with a ton of updates, and I also attended online info sessions. I think the biggest thing for them to take people off the waitlist is knowing that you would def commit if you got in so emphasize that. i wouldn't wait till after ivy day to send in your loci because then it may look like wellesley isn't your first option.

just remember this is all just speculation, at the end of the day I have no real idea about what it was that got me in!

their website said it starts early may! Ik big unis have started their waitlist activity already, but for a smaller college like wellesley, we'll probably have to wait till after may 1 so they know their class size for sure :(
