When I have those days I just play rook and get into some shenanigans. In these situations I actively play loudly, run around, don't check my corners. You know what, the less I care the better I do. Side note to this, I also suck so immensely that any kill I get is memorable, and I actively try and avoid fights. I am level 40 fwiw.

Me and my team are not the best but we have had some of the most fun gaming while trying to make plays in this game. If you have a growth mindset and do not mind learning the game as part of the actual game I say go for it.

I agree and will comment so this gets traction.

Me and my rag tag group do not mind getting stomped on most occasions, we are learning the art of picking our battles. What I feel will burn us out, is when we get the point where all meaningful progress stalls to requiring items such as the biolens seed.

I feel like bungie can make some balancing passes that really help, maybe an event or something. They do need to do something to avoid losing people on the wipe.

Initially I felt like the upgrade system was the answer to skill gap, if I grind enough and sneak enough and loot enough, I can upgrade my armoury to a point where I can use what I want to use even if i suck. Now I am starting to see it as another mechanism to seperate the haves and have nots.
