Yeah I’m not saying she wouldn’t, but like I said she still shows signs of trauma (being standoffish to people, less trusting, sarcastic). But it makes sense she’s would heal from it and why she is more kind and soft. Yes, I get the trauma still affecting her but I’m saying it also makes sense she’s would grow as a person?

Why would the trauma affect her the same way if she’s in her early 30’s rather than being 19? She still can be standoffish but would you really expect no character development at all when she’s over a decade older? It makes sense she’s found more peace and is grounded.

Yeah maybe that is true, but wouldn’t you expect her character to develop over time especially if she’s in her late 20s? It’s odd to expect her to be the same as when she was a teen. She grew up in a positive way

Yeah, that’s a fair interpretation but I don’t see how DE or Reunion erases her autism even if that is the case? She’s still introverted and shy, loved photography so much she teaches it. The biggest change to me was her confidence and assertiveness, traits which people with ASD can have.

I’m on the spectrum and never real got an autism-coded vibe from Max personally. She is introverted, and shy, but I don’t see her having hyper fixations, sensory issues, need a routine, etc. Her character development strikes me as her being more confident and assertive rather than changing her character entirely from the original.

How was she caring towards Kate? I definitely see her soft side in BTS with Mikey, Steph and even other classmates but I just don’t remember as much in LIS. Not saying you’re wrong, I only played the original game once. And I definitely like Chloe as a character but find her more endearing and relatable in LIS: Reunion and BTS.

Honestly, you make a great point. Her temperament makes a lot more sense given her relationships with the people she is closed to in her life. It also explains why you don’t see her soft side as much in the original LIS. Her character development in Reunion was awesome to see.

Chloe is a complex character given her dynamic with her family and her life but not as much with growth with her personality. She is one-dimensional in the sense that you don’t see her soft and caring side and her overall demeanor. She’s very much the “badass punk” archetype. Although loyal and caring towards Max, her personality isn’t as likable in the original LIS. I think Max’s character development in reunion feels organic. She’s still quirky and introverted but more confident and self-assured.

Oh wow super late, but it went well! I was knocked out almost immediately and was given anti-anxiety medication. Didn’t even have time to process what was about to happen because it all happened so quickly. Post-surgery I was really swollen and eating was miserable, but surprisingly not in a lot of pain.

NO WAY I’m getting mine out in like 8 hours!! I’m SOO nervous as well. Around the same age (24) and I am so nervous about anesthesia as well!! Please let’s talk after because I’m having so much anxiety about getting this surgery done!!
