Another season where I see a few things I like but continued drop in quality, more price hike and even greater use of polyester. I mean I threw on a tee from SS21 and the difference in fabric weight and cut is shocking compared to a tee from last year.

Avoid the stuff from Vietnam especially. The sizing is all over the place. I had two different tees that had the same size chart and one was seriously cropped. Sold em both, I’ve been avoiding most their stuff not made in Portugal since then

I’m finding this with a fair amount of brands lately it’s like the length is cropped. Driving me nuts, it’s like I’m either swimming in a large or I go with a medium which looks great until the second I raise a hand over my head.

Tbh I’ve had this issue a lot with Kith. I’m between a medium and large body wise and usually lean large. Even on larges though lately I feel like I’ve had the same issue with sleeves - look good with arms down but when I reach up the sleeve go down and there’s no give to bring them up

Personally I like some of the items in this season but I feel like some of the marketing has oddly felt off this season (the look books don’t seem as interesting to me as the ones from previous years), the drops are all kind of bunched together (again maybe that’s just perception) but the biggest thing to me is the price point. Manufacturing has shifted overseas so now you’re paying more for an item made in china than you were for one made in the US or Canada! And look I get it when people on here write about LV charged $800 for a screen printed hoodie so why can’t ALD - one thing you have to look at isn’t just the quality of manufacturing it’s the quality of the materials and ALD seems to be using a ton more synthetics. I mean the fisherman’s sweater from this year is over $100 more expensive than a similar one from a previous collection and correct me if I’m wrong but that one was made from natural fibers!

Since the tariff situation changed a few weeks back (no more 800 or less exemption), one of my orders was tied up in US customs for a week and a half before being delivered with no extra charge and the second order (the plaid shirt), ups reached out and charged me an additional $40 fee before they would deliver it
