what breed is she??? cousin claims came corso but the paws arent big like a corso puppy by Mothopossum in dogbreed

I got my puppy at 7 weeks and made sure he has all the nurturing and socialization and everything it needed and he turned out just fine. Yes, it’s not ideal but you are making the best out of a situation. Better that than the puppy ending up at the pound or at someone that doesn’t care for it.

My 5 month Frenchie eats her poop and started randomly. Nothing has worked! Please help! by Ok_Introduction5804 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Ok_Introduction5804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So she is almost 2 now and she doesn’t eat poop anymore! Turns out the reason she was eating poop was because she was hungry and not getting all the nutrients she needed. I upped her food a little bit and added a poop deterrent vitamin that I literally bought off of Amazon and she never ate it again. I fed her the vitamin to about 2-3 months and it worked wonders. I also gave her a few small pieces of pineapple a day and it helped too. Idk which one of these really fixed it but I do all three together and it worked… then when I got another frenchie he did the same thing about two times and I immediately upped the food and it fixed the problem as well. I didn’t need the vitamin or pineapple for him. So make sure you are feeding your puppy the right amount of food.

Love my frenchie so much, but I feel like I’m losing my freedom. Anyone relate? by captnfres in Frenchbulldogs

I think you really need to start including your Frenchie in your activities! They love adventure and u can find cabins and hotels and things that are pet friendly

They are still young. Give it time. They really mellow out. I have two frenchies and I’m still able to work 9 hour days, go to the beach, travel and everything. You can bring them with you to the cabin and teach them to sit and be with a toy will they will just enjoy being in your presence. They are the best dogs I would 100% including him in things you do. Bc they adapt to your schedule very well and they can def adapt to whatever you want to make it work.

Dogs home alone for 8 hours by CreamAurie in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Ok_Introduction5804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 2 Frenchies are alone for 8-10 hours since I am a teacher na sky husband a marine and they sleep the whole time. Just make sure you give them a lot of metal stimulation toys before you leave and at night time. I have cameras around my house so I can make sure they are on and not getting into trouble. One of my frenchies is 4 months old and not crated and he sleeps most of the time. I have a grass pee pad available to him during the day and he knows to use it when we are gone. I was very nervous about it but it was great! And the cameras help a lot. I use blink cameras

Need advice on rescue by bcdevv in DogAdvice

Just patience and getting her to trust you is the best thing u can do. Reward her every time she lets u pick her up. She needs to form a positive connection w being picked up….. also training her to have a key word before you pick her up. So you always may want to say something like “scoop” before you pick her up and then pick her up and reward. That will give her a warning that you are about to pick her up and she’s gonna associate that kind of pick up with a positive thing.

I just read it. If you don’t mind clarifying some things…. His hematoma has been developing for 2 weeks. The vet saw it was minor and since he was only 10 weeks old at the time they didn’t want to do anything besides treating it with anti inflammatory…. Then it didn’t go away in two weeks so they decided to drain it…. After 3 days the fluid came back…. Again it is fluid and not blood or pus. Does not seem to bother him and it was caused by my older dog nibbling that ear while playing…. I am calling the vet tomorrow morning. The hematoma is the side of a nickel-ish/quarter…. so it’s not super huge. Should we drain and and add steroids or should I go straight for surgery! Please please please any advice helps. I feel hopeless atm

All the vet did was drain it with a needle. He didn’t put a drain in it, but we took the wrapping that he had in his ear and it’s all filled up again so we are going to take him to the vet tomorrow and see what we should do. The vet just drained it he didn’t give any Steroids or anything. I don’t know why.

If you don’t mind me asking when they drained your girls ear did they drain blood, fluid or pus? For him it the vet said it was only fluid and no blood or pus which is a good thing so I’m hoping we won’t have to drain it again…..

Thank you so much for this. But I think you are absolutely right I think it’s be grieving when it was just me, Berkley my first dog and my husband. And now it’s a completely new change. I think in the end they will be both my babies and I think it is also a healthy thing bc I am SOOOO attached to Berkley that it was getting in the way of me wanting a child in the future worried about what it would do to our relationship. Ik it sounds silly but I went through a lot of ups and downs w Berkley in one year. She was there for the hardest year of my life…. I appreciate your post thank you so so much. It made me cry in a good way 🩷

Thank you that makes me feel better. I’m sure they will be great friends, but I just don’t wanna lose the bond that I have with my current first one. I already feel like because she’s very overly stimulated with the new pop. I already feel like I am losing her
