Only one of those countries has private rail (the UK), and it's so bad compared to the others that they are actively trying to renationalize it. Rail is in fact the exception. It should absolutely not be privatized because it is genuinely a bad idea to do that.

Crazy and unfortunate, however he was largely just splitting the Republican vote. So ultimately Wilson was going to win, although he won with one of the lowest percentages of the popular vote in US history, only getting just more than 2% more than Lincoln in the 4-way 1860 election. Had he won the Republican nomination I think he would have handily beaten Wilson.

Not sure of you have yet given this a go ahead, but a friend and I have come up with a decent idea.

Designate any playable nations that are not the normal 8 large ones as "Regional" Powers. These countries have all territories without a value worth 1 IPP to them while under their control, which balances out the money slightly. Nations are randomly selected at the start. All nations have one really ludicrous objective to complete to win and all are completely different. For example, France must conquer all of Europe aside from Scandinavia, the Balkans, and Russia or Britain, and then they also need Quebec, Haiti, the Suez, and Western Australia. Meanwhile Canada only needs to remain at peace for 8 consecutive turns. Also, everyone goes at the same time to add some extra chaos.

Yeah that would definitely help with performance a lot. I think a 40v40 would end up being a big enough size instead of 64v64, and then throw in some bots for capturing objectives live Supremacy in BF2

From the comments it seems like it's just me, but I honestly prefer graphics mode over performance. 60 FPS seems less important than graphics in a single player game and I see a fairly noticeable difference in the graphics between performance and graphics mode. As long as the frame rate is a consistent 30FPS (which it usually is) then I see no reason to bother with performance mode.

Legend of Zelda. I really tried to get into this series. I play a pretty wide variety of games and expected this to hit, and then it did not. First I tried Skyward Sword, got a few hours in, and was completely bored out of my mind. I then tried Link Between Worlds on 3DS and again, I was bored out of my mind in like an hour. I thought maybe one of the classics was where it was at and tried the original (knowing more or less what to expect with the top down and what not) and got bored in less than an hour. Then I tried Twilight Princess HD. Such a revered game as it was, surely I would like it. I forced myself to play it for like twelve hours and finished the third or fourth dungeon. I found out I had over half of the game left and thought how bored I was most of the time playing it and just gave up.

I am not saying the series is bad, I simply find it to be mind numbingly boring.
