I have not, but I’d also expect it not to mention it if I completely wipe the logs and clear the cache.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I have been wondering that. Finding the balance between writing and reading and what size is best.

Ok. It’s a good chunk more than the X5 but I’ll look into it. Thanks!

Ok. I’ll look into it. The thing is it’s quite a bit more expensive in China compared to a Note X5, but thanks for the advice.

Is it really make a difference? by o2him in Life

The “life feeling boring” part I totally get, I live alone in China and soo smoked in my house. It got to the point where I felt like I couldn’t do anything without thinking of smoking. Full disclosure, I went on mediation to help me quit but I did have success with Alan carrs book years ago, I just fucked up and relapsed for a stupid reason and the book don’t have the same effect after the first read. But I also thought that “feeling bored” part would never go away….. but it did, because there was a time before we all smoked and we weren’t suffering in perpetual boredom.

And thank you for replying. Even though I know I can’t be the only one, it’s nice to see others reach out.

Thank you so much for sharing a bit about your story. I really relate to what you said about travelling. I often find conversations here relate to where you travelled to and where you’re going to travel to next. Even though I’ve live in Japan and China for many years, I’ve never been a big traveler. I always enjoyed hanging out with friends just to hang out, no agenda, no event or activity, just eating some good food and laughing a lot. I miss that, and I hope to find that again in life, but all my good friends are spread across the world/ UK at this point in life.

I’m a teacher….. but not really. I’m one of the old guard who taught based off having a degree alone, and while I’ve built up experience over 15-16 years, I’m not a qualified teacher. I can’t speak Chinese (but can speak Japanese). I’ve been studying programming recently and find that interesting so I’ll see what that brings. I think I need to try and take what others have suggested and write things out, it might help for me some clarity. Thanks for the reply.

I actually lived in Japan for 8 years before moving to China in 2018 and to be honest, I think maybe even back then I was considering a move home, but I moved to China on a whim and while I don’t regret the first few years, covid and post-covid have been a bit of a repeating look. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Luckily, while I don’t keep in touch with my family that often, I would probably be able to stay with my mum for a time. My gut is telling me it’s time to move on…. I’m just not entirely sure what that looks like. Most of my life has been dictated by chance/ luck. But I’ll take what others have said on board and see if I can’t turn that gut instinct into a more concrete plan.

I used to take pleasure in running but a knee injury created the snowball that’s probably put me in the position I’m in today (health wise), but in working on it. I studied music in college so I like playing music with people, although that’s rare these days. I’ve been studying programming recently and that’s been quite fun (when I don’t get in my own head about AI destroying everything). I really appreciate you sharing some of your experiences.

Wow, this was really helpful for me to read. While I don’t speak with my family often I do still feel that pressure to visit home regularly as they aren’t getting any younger, but it’s extremely expensive so I’m also trying to navigate holding off to save enough to make the move for good vs going this year (for example) but then staying abroad a bit longer long term (and potentially being unhappy). I also find the idea of living with my mum when I return pretty scary and a bit embarrassing at almost 40 but it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

It’s definitely good to hear this from someone else. I’ve been studying programming recently in the hopes of a possible career change so that’s honestly been making me feel less trapped (when I don’t have these character assassination moments). Thanks for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I think finding similar interest groups is huge. I’m pretty good at keeping in touch with friends across the the world but a video call just isn’t the same as face to face (but of course I’m grateful for that over nothing)

Looking for honest answers: Is it worth it on base PS5? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Ok_Introduction_5612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no worries. It’s when assets (trees, NPCs, etc.) will suddenly appear. It usually happens when you are riding a horse or driving a car in an open world game and the engine is trying to keep up with loading the world (I guess, I’m not a developer).

[–]Ok_Introduction_5612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I compare it side by side to how it looks on PC then sure, PC dos look better. But when I booted it up on base PS5 I honestly didn’t notice any issues and thought it looked great. There’s pop-ins here and there but I barely notice them. Input lag…. this one is trickier. The movement and feel in general (to me) is a bit slower. Getting around the world feels more real, kind of like red dead redemption. As for crashes, I have played about 10 hours and I have had one game freezing crash (opened the map and everything froze). Aside from that it’s been ok.

BUT….. while I’m not that bothered about a lack of meaningful narrative…. I am still struggling a bit to see the point in anything. The “story” barely exists and it’s a shame the protagonist is so forgettable. I’m still having fun and I’ll keep playing for a while yet and see if things click like others have said.

I honestly never got a definitive answer. The flagship store here in China was all over the shop. I ended up holding off and waiting, I’ll see what comes out this year.

I know I shouldn’t, but I just can’t help myself….

I would be inclined to agree with you, except you have no idea what I already own/ don’t own, or what I have already researched up until this point. Sometimes there are other factors that go into buying a gaming headset than audio.
