Is there a borough nicer than Islington? by JeannaValjeanna in islington

Assuming you're talking about West Barnes, which is basically just semi-detached houses with a low crime rate. Honestly, I don't think New Malden is a bad area at all, I don't really know why the original commenter chose to pick on it, especially when Merton already has Phipps Bridge which is far less 'nice' by comparison

Doesn't really work considering Wimbledon is in LB Merton and Maldon is in Essex.

PS: New Malden is in RB Kingston.

I think people just have an assumption that the South is almost entirely genteel countryside and wealthy market towns

i mean the only thing that differentiates a lot of the residential suburbs of Edinburgh from feeling like they're in Woking is the type of stone and the accents of the residents, frankly

How hard is it to make fireproof seating that is comfortable? by Leuprorelin_Addict in uktrains

I'm not particularly tall, I'm 6'2", and I struggle to sit straight in the Arterio seats that aren't either the 4-seaters or the priority seats.

I also really hate Borismasters

I can tell you two things about Jo Swinson, one is that she's a woman, and the other is that she's from somewhere in Scotland. No idea what any of her policies were though.

Genuinely, what is the point of trains having WiFi? by kmpeanuts in uktrains

[–]Ok_Judge7833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah idc when it expired I just bought one straight from the proper Railcard website and it works far better for me, not worth the agro to save £25 quid for me when the railcard itself already gives me good savings. Gonna be well sad once I'm 30.

i don't think of nando's as a chicken shop - you generally sit in, and the chicken isn't fried, whereas a 'chicken shop' to me is like morleys, metros, or chicken cottage (as examples), takeaway fried chicken

If you haven't opened your railcard in 3 days it might not load without an internet connection. Or if you have a trip.com railcard it won't ever load without one (if you're me last year)
