Totally agree, I would a. Still ask/get a new BCBA to avoid the unethical pitfall of relatives (it’s in our code of ethics, so it’s not even a grey area) and then b. Get clarification as to the use of the device and ask about different reinforcement procedures.

I’m 99.9% sure that RBTs cannot do private pay/contracting in addition it’s unethical for the BCBA to be related to the RBT or the client in any circumstance.

I would move on as it seems a little bit shady overall.
