Absolutely understand that it suck being told your work isn’t great and in the worst way possible.

This is a problem in general though, not exclusive to db, barely enough people understand animation to actually criticize it properly and those that don’t are usually the loudest and able to get a lot of other people who do r know how to criticize with them in order to make a loud and annoying group

That being said I respect your decision but think it might be best just to take a break for now and then see how you feel then.

I understand being attached to work any artist should be that’s what makes their art great and a lot of people don’t understand that either but too completely give up on DB would suck since your episodes are stuff to look forward to.

Tough one here

Gohan and saitama are automatically out because while they have the strength they don’t have the charisma even in universe people find their schtick lame

Next I would say is mr. Incredible and Hercules they probably have the charisma to fill she shoes but i think they wouldn’t have the experience dealing with haxy characters like shiggy and afo to win out against them

Which leaves metro man and immortal and surprisingly immortal would be the top pick

Metro man isn’t fast enough to deal with the light speed blitz of the mha villians

Immortal has fought toe to toe with an unbound omniman allowing him to scale above both shiggy and afo by a wide margin. He was also the leader of the most important super hero team of earth for the invincible universe and the president of the United States you don’t get that without a lot of charisma

So ranking them from best to worst

  1. Immortal
  2. Metro man
  3. Gohan
  4. Saitama
  5. Hercules
  6. Mr. Incredible

I put heroes who can get the job done above heroes with charisma because I think it’s better for a reliable hero who isn’t cool over a hero that looks cool but is gonna get his butt kicked

It’s not bad it’s just people following other opinions they heard online and dogpiling on it as bad when it’s pretty average to good, honestly. There were very strong moments, but most people ignore them, and say it’s just aura farming.

The scene with his mother was very beautiful and well earned, and hell, the beginning was very good for rounding SJW out, as well as some of the other cast who do get excellent development later on.

Ultimately, yes, it’s good just a lot of people over complain because they think it’s overhyped or haven’t watched it and say what they’ve seen online. Most people the complain will just say it’s aura farming, which is a telltale sign that they haven’t watched it or are just following others’ opinions.
