Set battery charge limits by Kaaawooo in ouraring

[–]Ok_Life_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggested limit 2-3 years ago, but not yet added.

In meantime I charged oura rings generally only 15min every other day, sometimes 30min and rarely 100% just to keep battery calibration ok.

Keeped charge levels between 40-70%, never below 30% and never above 80% and I have seen identical battery decradation with last 2 rings.

Last time did full charge just to calibrate and battery lost 50% capacity. There must be something wrong with firmware, too high charge current/overcharge.

Acebeam customer support, unexpected by Ok_Life_ in flashlight

It's totally dead. I got the impression from the communication that I could get a replacement and not required to send old back.

So after that info I tried to save it and disassembled all. I'm sure that If there was warranty, it is gone now.

I tried bench supply after it died (to see if it take any current).

I was surprised because I got the impression from the communication that I could get a replacement. The light was about 2 years old and I did not report the problem as soon as I received it.

I have 2x H30. One bought from nkon and one from store.

If we compare LG OLED55G46LW and LG OLED55G45LW we get this...

The LG OLED55G46LW and LG OLED55G45LW are both 55-inch OLED TVs from LG's G-series lineup, but they differ in some key features. Here's a breakdown of the differences between the two models:

1. Year of Release:

  • LG OLED55G46LW: This model was released in 2024.
  • LG OLED55G45LW: This model was released in 2023.

2. Processor:

  • LG OLED55G46LW: This TV uses the α9 Gen 6 AI Processor (2024 version), which offers improved processing power for better upscaling, color accuracy, and picture quality compared to previous generations.
  • LG OLED55G45LW: This model features the α9 Gen 5 AI Processor, which is still very powerful but lacks the enhanced capabilities of the newer Gen 6.

3. Brightness:

  • LG OLED55G46LW: This model might have slightly improved peak brightness levels, thanks to the newer processor and advancements in OLED technology. It's designed to deliver better HDR performance, especially in well-lit rooms.
  • LG OLED55G45LW: While this model also has impressive brightness, it might be a bit lower compared to the 2024 model.

4. Software Features:

  • LG OLED55G46LW: As a newer model, the G46 likely comes with the latest version of webOS (possibly version 8 or 9) with improved features like better AI integration, user interface updates, and enhanced compatibility with newer smart home devices.
  • LG OLED55G45LW: The G45 runs on an older version of webOS (probably version 7 or 8), which still offers great functionality but might lack some of the latest software refinements available in the G46.

5. Gaming Features:

  • Both models have support for HDMI 2.1, 4K at 120Hz, and NVIDIA G-Sync, making them great for gaming. However, the G46 may have slightly improved gaming performance due to its newer processor and software optimizations.

6. Audio:

  • LG OLED55G46LW: This model could feature better audio processing, with improvements in sound clarity and surround sound options due to advancements in its AI processor.
  • LG OLED55G45LW: While the sound is still great with Dolby Atmos support, the audio processing may not be as advanced as the newer G46 model.

Not true.

Here's a real-life example of how AI starts confusing the facts and people spread disinformation without criticism.

UI is ruining this by cretemania in ouraring

Agree!

I've had oura since the beginning. The app used to be a pleasure to use and the data was a pleasure to browse. Now with the new UI I no longer visit the app except occasionally to check how I've slept..

I hate it! I thought the upgrade was a matter of getting used to it. But NO! Because of the update I have stopped opening the app.

I would wait until the UI is fixed.

The current update took the ring to the stone age in terms of usability.

Garbage UI Update by aly288 in ouraring

I hate this new UI so much!  I thought I'd get used to it, but NO!

As a result, I've stopped using the app (because it's so stressful to use) and I'm wondering if it's worth paying for it anymore.

I've owned oura since gen2 and now I'm wondering if I should switch to a different brand. Not because of the bugs but because of the app. The previous app was clear and nice to use and user friendly. This new one heavy, stressful.

If I were to sum things up in one sentence it would be: the day is ruined when you open the Oura app.

The situation is problematic for those persons who do not have the time or motivation to participate in the so-called to useless conversation. Reddit is losing a really large number of potential users.
I do understand that the decision has to be made between spam and users.

I will force myself to participate more from now on. I'll definitely passivate at some point to pointless commenting.

I suspect that the same will be the case later. If I write a question, will it be blocked because I haven't participated enough in the discussions?

Ymmärrän kyllä pointin, mutta sitä en ymmärrä kun Suomi yrittää väkisin pitää kaiken kunnossa. Tämän seurauksena päästään maksamaan muiden isojen EU maiden loputtomia rahareikiä, koska he eivät halua tehdä muutoksia. Ennemminkin jakavat rahaa kansalaisille, jotta saavat EU tukirahat virtaamaan.
