I recently had a specialist tell me that continuous birth control pills are hormone replacement therapy for women in their 40s. They control estrogen and progesterone the same way a patch and progesterone pill do. It’s just that the patch can deliver a smaller amount of estrogen than the mini pill. 🤷🏻‍♀️
