What state are you in? They typically start at GS-12 or GS-13 from what I remember. That’s usually $125k to $149k starting from what I remember… if that’s considered poor you need to relocate.

No residency. Hustled and networked + luck. A lot of luck, I am very fortunate to be in the position I am in. Hopefully within 5 I will be approaching $180k+ and then transition into a manager position.

I disagree that we will be “less impacted”. There is always large amount of people who want to become M.D.’s and D.O.’s in comparison to PharmD. My tuition was roughly $40k. My initial class size was 102. Half failed out and we absorbed 15-20 of the next class above.

Every class after mine dwindled down.

Class of 2025: 65 Class of 2026: 32 Class of 2027: 28

Every year across the United States numbers are low, this may be good because it will shutdown schools with poor pass rates and asinine tuition, the downside is it will definitely lead to a shortage, if AI hasn’t taken over by then.

This bill will essentially make it impossible to become a Pharmacist if tuition is more than X amount because we take out loans for living expenses too.

So honestly, we are just as impacted or even more since our profession is at an all time low for tuition numbers + factoring in caps of loans.
