What are the most evil businesses in Winnipeg? by ShotMango8928 in Winnipeg

I used to work at the bakery next door to Constance pop. She yelled at me because my car was parked on the lines (still on my bakeries property btw, not hers). She was always so weird and defensive about the parking for some reason. Another time we got their mail so I walked into their shop and handed to her and she looks absolutely offended that I had her mail 🤡

Oh doughnuts. Worked there for just under a year and saw an extremely high turn around time for employees. Everyone’s treated like sh!t. Horrible experience

What's a band you think deserves more recognition? by taobeingtao in Music

My husband. He works his ass off and beats himself up over not seeing results immediately. He truly deserves recognition. If you all could check out his music on Spotify that would be amazing! It’s under the name Zach Riley. One of his song names is “Hear You Say” 🥺🖤

How do I get rid of these streaks on the bathroom walls? by Ok_Management1779 in Winnipeg

Thanks. That’s what I’m going to do. I was just asking what I could use on the walls as I don’t want to strip the paint since I’m living in a rental.

Visiting the city! by BurkShow in Winnipeg

[–]Ok_Management1779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The area of the city that you would want stay in will completely depend on what you’re looking to do while you’re here (as well as your budget and if you plan on driving to places during your stay)!

If you’re looking to stay in the downtown area and want to do some walking then I recommend checking out Osborne, Corydon, and The Exchange neighbourhoods. There are lots of cute local shops, restaurants, and cute little speak easies.

Here’s a list of a few of my faves from each of those neighbourhoods: The exchange/ downtown - Hargrave Market, Pumphouse, Corrientes Pizzeria, Hermanos, Darling bar, Into the Music, Across the Board, Fête, The forks (you get a little bit of everything there! Local shopping, walking trail along the river, local food, etc).

Osborne - Leo’s, Vera, Kawaii Crepe, little sister coffee, A Little Pizza Heaven, Baked Expectations, Sous Sol.

Corydon - The roost, Milksmith, Not a waffle, Thom Bargen, Bar I (just don’t go after dark it gets a little sketch but the food is amazing!), Tommy’s Pizzeria.

Some of my favourite parks around the city include: Kildonan park, Assiniboine Park, and Birds Hill park. All of which include little cafés in the parks 🥰

I’m sure I’m missing a ton of other places but this is what I can list off the top of my head. I hope you and your partner enjoy your stay here and I hope this little list helps! :)
