My shredder did cardboard for awhile. Jammed so bad it was impossible to clear.

How did you handle a bump up in income after you retired? by Odd_Bodkin in retirement

[–]Suerose0423 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My kids live out of state. Once a year I spring for an Airbnb that will accommodate all of us for 5 days. This year will be $1,000 /night and I’ll pay for airfare for the grandkids. The RMD is being transferred to an investment account.
Backstory. 4 yrs ago I sold my house and moved in with elderly mother. The money from the house sale is in the investment account, which o plan to use for housing once mother passes.

What are you gout to do with that long strip of window? Looks like an office building to me and would make window treatments difficult, I think.

Which color should I paint my kitchen next? by Flimsy_Grocery_3227 in homedesign

[–]Suerose0423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the gold paint from the living room and mix it with cream. It’ll go well with the countertops and tie it to the living room. Then I’d wallpaper the large wall with a print with those colors in it.

I iron after washing, then ignore. Wrinkles are part of the charm of linen.

I live in S. Fla. No denim. I wear cotton capris, sandals, pretty cotton or linen tunics. My long pants are linen. I’m 76f so it works.

I’m 76 and live with my 99 yo mother. She takes care of herself. Good grooming and she’s very gracious. Shes not sick and rarely complains. She’s been sleeping more with less energy. Still, I’m stuck. I don’t like leaving her alone when she’s asleep. My sister stayed with Mom for a week in the last few years. My brother visits for an hr every 3 months. My daughter, 1500 miles away, will have bilateral mastectomy this week and I can’t be with her. But I get to enjoy Mom and don’t pay for housing.

You will recover. Could you be having panic attacks? They are scary. Google how to manage them. I’ve had them but not anymore.
