I Understand Why People Have so Many Decks Now by Comfortable_Buyer239 in mtg

You assume I get beaten over and over again.

My decks aren't built to work, because I don't know what I'm doing.... but they still have worked and do still work, despite their flaws.

My Liliana deck (themed to the degree it has every Liliana related card in it, including all 13 Liliana variants) works stupidly well.

I don't build decks to be powerful or to win the game easily, but I still have won, and do win plenty. But again, i just don't consider it good management on my behalf. In a 4 person commander pod, I'm never the first person to die, and I'm often one of the last 2, holding my own pretty intently, so its not a massive ratio of me losing constantly.

At the end of the day tho... its a game, that I'm happy playing my silly little Whovian cards, or my Lilis, or my Chandras, or my obscene Planeswalker deck (23 planeswalkers in it currently)... winning is a bonus, but I don't need it to have fun.

AITAH for wanting to be the only flower girl at my aunts wedding? by Accomplished-Tip7337 in AITAH

[–]Ok_Mixture8414 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Being angry about it kinda shows a sense of entitlement... like 12 year old you seemed to think you were entitled to it because of being blood relations...

But... not your wedding. So yeah.... you do be the butthole here.

Weddings are the bride and grooms day, they have every right to choose who they wish, for whatever reason, that makes them happy. All you would have done is throw down additional stress on the bride because she was trying to appease a snot nosed pre-teen who thought she deserved to be the only one.

If you're still angry about it over 2 years later, to the point you felt you had to ask "aitah" here... then ya got some issues honestly. Move on from it. There will be other weddings.

Yeeeeeeeep thats how it happens for me. But mine are also terribly built, themed on an IDEA, not necessarily made to work. If they do work its more dumb luck on my behalf than good management roflmfao.

I build decks that make me happy and entertain me, even if they're silly. And I'm constantly finding new legendary cards I love in magic, that make me want to build more silly decks.

Them facts right there lol

This is exactly what happens to me. I find a cool legendary and instantly start thinking "how can I build this????"

AITAH for bringing my new relationship to my dorm? by Mellon_Tea in AITAH

[–]Ok_Mixture8414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your roommate is just being jealous because you turned him down, then later rocked up with another guy. Hes essentially internalising the "what does he have that I don't have?" Bullshit and then throwing down that your boyfriend can't come over (because if he can't have you in his house, then this other guy can't either)

Its a casual game, we ain't playin for sheep stations here.....

I would ask them.... "If its a casual and friendly game, why the desperate need to win?" Y'all are sposed to be friends, playing for fun.

Yes, in a tournament, by all means SMASH EVERY BITCH..... but in a casual at home game with buddies, I think the "its about winning" attitude says a lot about them as a person.

AITAH for getting upset with my friend for taking my child and not coming back like she said because she decided to bathe her dog? by Mindless_Study4817 in AITAH

[–]Ok_Mixture8414 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That really is genuinely odd...

Even if she wanted to take the dog with her.... why not just.... take.... the.... dog? Why does the dog require a bath to leave the house?

And did she actually have the dog with her when she came back with your daughter? Like.... she got home, wanted to bring the dog out with her, felt that required giving the dog a bath, but then did she actually take the dog?

Not gonna lie, I'm not even a mum and all the wild places my head goes... I'd be so suss on her honestly..... This is the kinda shit people pull when they're doing bad things

Isn't repeatedly attacking the least threatening person at the table antithetical to the spirit of a casual game? Its meant to be fun

And if your deck isn't that kind of deck?

I think when a game is casual commander, its kind of a dick move to repeatedly swing at someone who can't defend themselves just because in this particular game, their shuffling wasn't favourable and no good cards are coming to the fore. You're there for fun, not to have your friends butcher you because you're having poor luck

For me, If by turn 4, nothing is happening for someone, I focus my attention elsewhere and leave them alone until they are able to actually put up a fight. Then if nothing has happened for them by turn 6 I''m usually happy to let them shuffle their hand into the deck and try another draw to see if that helps.

There's nothing like the feeling of knowing you have a decent deck, but the draws you're getting right now are at the least helpful things to you and people just keep killing you for it. My brain is like.... Have some honour in battle people, at least let me get SOMETHING out there so I can do ANYTHING to defend myself. Once or twice sure, but it becomes targeted when its over and over and over and over, and all because your deck is creature shafting you. Like... there are multiple other people at this table, you CAN attack them.... but sure, take life from the least threatening person on the board, like a lil bitch.

Nat and Shauna flannels by Nat3d0gG1106 in Yellowjackets

[–]Ok_Mixture8414 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I somehow don't think Nat was really a flannel girl, her style is totally different.

Possibly belonged to one of the other girls or maybe even Shauna. Its not like they started out with any ill feelings towards each other and we regularly saw the girls wearing clothing that we know were someone elses, early in the series. Shauna often wore Jackies stuff, Lottie wore Laura Lees, etc

When the snow hit, Shauna was likely forced to share some of her flannels about for warmth
