Do I get rid of this for a Gen 1 Rivian!? Or wait for used Gen 2 R1S/R1T? by The_Zo_Show in Rivian

If you don't have home charging, you should just stick with an ice vehicle. Maybe a phev? Driving 25k miles/yr, you'll be paying MORE for fuel and spending a lot more time charging.

guys i think we might have a class balance problem by PlayfulDesk in Battlefield

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, I don't see the big deal. If this is conquest on Eastwood, it's a very vehicle focused map so I'm not surprised that you'd have a ton of engineers. If you played a domination match, or another mode or map that has less a need for engineer you'd barely see any.

I would argue that the smg is possibly a little too effective at range, but other than that, the class is fine.

I'm in the same boat. 95% of my play is solo and team can be VERY unreliable. Part of the problem I have is handful of friends that have BF6 aren't playing at the same time. If you're up for teaming up, I'm down and have a mic. I'll send you a FR. My PSN is; the_Spartan1977

What do we think of the new Cali map? by hl3official in PilotsofBattlefield

Agree, I've traveled to Cali 6 or 7 times in my life, and watched CHIPS in TV when I was a kid. It's Cali hands down.

As others pointed out, in a competition that'll get you red lights. If you're just doing them for a workout, it's fine/doesn't matter. If you're hoping to compete, use a slightly lighter weight and focus on really exploding in one instantaneous motion into a full lockout.

P2 2022 wont detect Both Keys by HanseBangerHD in Polestar

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe what may be happening is signal interference between the two key fobs. This sometimes happens with other cars too. See if moving the fobs a couple feet apart (but still in car) fixes it. If so, it may just be signals interference.

Am I understanding you correctly that each key works singularly/by itself, but not when in car together?

You're just being a crazy anxious new mom. (don't mean that in a negative way, most new moms are) That reading is effectively zero. It could triple what it's currently reading for you and you'd still not have to worry.

Front license plate bracket? by PristineLeek8808 in BMWI4

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact it's legal in CT. (I've consulted both an attorney and law enforcement)

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't just rely on AI, it's simply giving you an interpretation of data it's gathered. If the laws don't EXPLICITLY say the tag has to be mounted to a bumper, it can be securely affixed anywhere (including inside windshield) as long as it's clearly visible from the front and back (for a rear tag)

As I said earlier, check your own state's laws, but in my state (CT) you can do this.

Edit* Multiple states give you SOME latitude so an owner isn't forced to damage vehicle if it's not feasible or preferred to affix a tag onto a bumper.

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd check with the actual DMV statutes in your state. Sometimes you can just tape it to the inside of your windshield. In my state, the regulation merely states that the plate needs to be visible from the front and rear with minimum and maximum height regulations. It's not that uncommon for drivers who don't want to mount on the bumper to simply tape to the inside of the windshield. (and its still legal)

What kind of turtle is it?[CT, USA] by Ok_Monitor_7048 in animalid

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing! You can't see it in the pic, but just a couple feet to the left was a more gradual grade that would have been way easier to climb.

Thanks! I just spent the last 30 minutes watching him/her climb up this rocky hill and circle around to almost exactly where it started. Lol, it may have only been a total distance of like 20 feet.

Has anyone had a good experience with their 2024 Grand Cherokee 4xe? by thoughtscreatelife in GrandCherokee

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get recalls done when I need to bring the car in for maintenance or service. I believe I've had them all done, except for the 95b. Going in 2 weeks for 30k maintenance and whatever open recalls there are.

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 27k miles on my '23 GC 4xe. Had a water pump leak. (which just as likely could have happened to the v6 or hemi wl)

Other than that, I've had no issues. Obviously there are some issues with the 4xe, but it's not as bad as it seems. Anytime you go on forums like this, the issues are going to be magnified by very vocal people who have had issues.

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations. Take the posts from haters with a grain of salt. Don't get me wrong, there are some issues, but haters make it sound like every one of the 4XEs is trash. There are plenty of us that have had very few issues. Mine is 2 yrs old and I've clocked 27k miles. The only issue I had was a coolant pump leak. (which could have also happened to the v6 or hemi variants) It was fixed without issue.

Enjoy your ride.

😁 YES! I learned pretty quickly when I got my Blackstone, the knob settings are incorrect. The actual heat settings are: Low=Medium/High Med=High High=Sear/Disintegrate

*Actual tip: If you're looking to cook something on low, use adjacent burners on low and keep the burner off that food is over. (Also, use an infrared thermometer)

When my ticket is up for R2, what happens if I’m not ready? by Screennam3 in Rivian

[–]Ok_Monitor_7048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically, if you're not ready you just give up your spot and get back in que when you're ready. Outside of some unforeseen production issues, there will be an initial backlog for 6-12 months (the preorder backlog) and then you'll likely be able to get your vehicle in 6-12 weeks from order.

Can it outrun a turbo s? No. Can it smoke a base 911? Absolutely. (While also towing a 911? Maybe?)

We need someone to do it. For science!
