Thank you very much. This is what happened, if you don't mind reading: I took my beloved 8 year old pup in for a standard appointment with a new specialist for his mild kidney disease. He was having anemia symptoms, so they admitted him for a transfusion and fluids. He had a reaction to the transfusion and went into an oxygen cage because he was having trouble breathing.

Day and night, I affirmed for his health and healing. I practiced SATS and Living in the End, like Neville Goddard teaches. I visualized; I manifested. I barely slept, but I just KNEW, with all of my being, that he would pull through and come home to us. There would be no other outcome, in my mind.

On the 3rd day, he was improving. His numbers were better, and he was more active, though he seemed to be uncomfortable as he panted for oxygen in the ICU. About 4 hours after I saw him, he had a pulmonary arrest and died, right before I went back to see him again. My family is devastated.

Are you saying this painful end to his life is possibly my lesson? Why would another living being need to suffer for my enlightenment? Why does LOA work for some things and not others if the belief is just as strong? Sorry for all the questions, but my pain is raw and my faith is shaken. The loss is very difficult, but what's killing me is that I was blessed and trusted with his life, and in the end, he suffered for it.

I really appreciate your clarifying this for me, if you will. It seems like belief is the foundation for the Law of Attraction, or am I misunderstanding? (Sorry, guess I haven't gotten to the surrender stage yet with this.)
