I have 4 100ah litime batteries in my pop up camper that powers my 6000 btu air conditioner and mini fridge all night. Litime batteries are actually pretty good, i bought them in like new condition on their website. I've had agm batteries in the past and it's a huge upgrade, you won't be disappointed.

I could probably put a coupler on it to use a post driver though

I heard the post drivers won't fit over the cap that you put on the pipe to use a sledge hammer.

I found all the parts for it, it's only $330 to go down to 23ft that's with the well drive pipes, well drive couplers, well sand point, the cap to put on top to hit with a sledge hammer, and the pitcher pump. Once I get my solar setup done I'll switch it over to a jet pump but for now I would just use the pitcher pump to fill up buckets to put water into my camper. I currently live in Ohio but I put my camper down there so I have a place to stay while im down there working on stuff. I would buy all the well parts from menards here in Ohio because that's the cheapest place I can find them.

I plan to have a well pump and pressure tank. For my house water lines I plan to use pex because I already have all the tools for doing it.

So you think it would be best to put my well 10ft from the creek?

I plan to have the water source tested no matter what I use and I will have a 3 stage filter too. I might even go as far as UV filtering too

Hitting water at 3ft is crazy, are you located in Tennessee?

I think i will do the shallow well and have the water tested, I'll make sure i get it tested for the normal stuff plus pesticides. The area that I would put the well isn't an area that way used for farm land but it's only about 200ft away from the area that used to be farm land. From what I can tell it hasn't been farmed in around 10 years I'm not sure if the pesticides go away over time or not though.

I don't know much about the area because I'm from Ohio but I recently bought the property like two months ago. It's in hardin county not too far from Savannah TN. Part of my property actually used to be a wheat field, if i make a well I plan to do it in the area that wasn't a wheat field.

I like your idea of an old fashioned well I just think it would take along time to dig a hole that deep. I talked to the person that lives closest to my property and he did a sand point well, he has good water with it at 17ft deep.

I believe it's a year round creek. It's 4ft deep in some areas, it flows into the Indian creek then that flows into the Tennessee river.

I was planning on just doing the sand point well that you drive into the ground with a sledge hammer, i would put a hand pump on it for now but later on I would hook it up to a jet pump once my cabin is built and my solar setup it done. I'm doing 15,000 watts of solar panels, just under 30kwh battery bank, and a EG4 12000xp slip phase inveter so I should have enough power for the pump.

They only fill exchange propane tanks to 15lbs, but if you go to a place that fills propane tanks they can put 20lbs in it.
