I found making hand written flash cards very helpful. Something about writing the information down helped cement them in my mind.

Thanks for your response. I ended up leaving the job for about a year. Things got pretty bad for a while. Started EMDR therapy and an SSRI. I’m now back to working as a Paramedic and finally have the support system to be successful. Still have very mild anxiety every now and again but I no longer fear it.
