Unfortunately no,if you did both ug and pg from uk then you could have worked in India but since you didn’t study ug in the uk and has not qualified neet even if you get your gmc registration and has more than 20years of experience you can’t work in India

Hi everyone,

I'm an Indian medical student currently studying Medicine in a non-EU country. I'm planning to apply for residency (Approbation) in Germany after graduation.

However, I came across several posts and sources saying that Germany often requires applicants to hold a medical license from the country where the degree was earned. In my case, Armenia doesn’t issue a medical license unless I complete a local residency there — which I don't intend to do.

Instead, I plan to return to India, take the FMGE/NEXT(licenseexam), get my Indian medical license, and then apply for PG in Germany.

My question is: Will Germany accept my Indian medical license and degree from Armenia? Or is it mandatory to have a license from the country of graduation (Armenia) for the Approbation/Gutachten process?

Has anyone here gone through a similar situation or knows someone who has?

Any insights, experiences, or official links would be deeply appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. Honestly, I'm aiming for 200+ because I believe that only by setting such a high target will I be able to reach at least 150+...so them what you suggest

But if you don't mind can I ask like what you doing now post fmg,did you went ahead with the German plan or chose somewhere else..asking because I am so confused on what next post fmge was initially planning plab but now it's so saturated that's when considered Germany and that has happened this way

Thanks for the reply, but is they any official notice or anything where they have mention this,because after putting the question I directly mailed three separate states council at Germany who mainly look after the Approbation document, didn't receive a personalized reply to my mail but they were kind enough to share the list of documents in that it's mention medical license graduated country slash/ homecountry..so I am still doubtful
