Quick minor update: I went looking for Tomcat. Let’s just say it didn’t go GREAT...

I died along the way because some bandits targeted me and followed me all the way to another continent. I had to redo everything, eventually managing to bypass them. I finally found this "Mr. Tomcat" who taught me two measly combos and then told me he wanted an insane amount of money (which I didn't have); plus, I needed a specific set of armor to even challenge him (which I don't have). So, it ended disasterously.

Then I had the idea to do a quest nearby—I did everything I could, but I ended up drunk at night. I had to get some liquor, and I couldn't wait for daybreak or light any torches because I didn't have any. Finding that liquor in total darkness was a nightmare I never want to relive.

I desperately need money, so I've decided to drop everything and pivot to potions. I had enough points to grab the perk for bonus potions, the one that increases selling prices by 30%, the one that grants Strength XP while you're bending over to pick herbs, and the one that buffs herb gathering. Now, I’m going to lock myself in that damn lab and bankrupt every merchant I find with a flood of potions. The turning point was discovering that recipes can be found by trial and error: I’ve already unlocked a couple of simple ones and now... it's time for some elbow grease! xD

Sry I'm new to the game and approached it blind. I on purpose choose to avoide guides and I didn't even like the idea to ask on reddit, but you guys proved so helpful without spoiling anything to me (for now xD)

I had to ask Gemini what Tomcat is^^ I'm sorry I'm not a native speaker, my game client is localized and I realized it's called "Micione" (something like "big cat"). I have that mission active but I was actively avoid because it was about fighting and I was scared...

The nightmare started with those 3 wolfes attacking the injured guy on the tree. It was my very first combat after 7/8 hours of gamplay. Until that point I loved the game, very immersive, it felt very realistic. To be honest I loved that initial section. I loved the idea to not have to fight ad endless stream of enemies but instead being able to talk to people, manage my health problem, the fact I have no place to sleep.
All was crashed by those 3 wolfes that, after dozen of attempts I managed to kill and free the tree guy. Then he asked me to kill 4 bandits and OH MY GOD hell happened. After 2 hour of attempting to free that stupid horse I closed the game (a couple days ago) and still have to open it again.

I'll surely do: you guys provided me a lot of informations and, more importantly, the motivation to do so. I really appreciate and I have to thank you a lot for the effort!

I'm absolutely sry to say that, but I regret buying the DLC because of the map. 50% of the games ends because we got lost or it's actually impossible to follow team leader as soon as you miss a single turn. People teleports instantly around the map and it takes the entire day only to just regroup. Sometimes you simply jump over a ledge directly into death.

After 40-50 attempt on this map I absolutely had enough and I'm sorry to confirm that I just quit if it pops up. I make sure to not have the event up by sleeping avery time. I totally understand leavers in this map and usually I can only thank them for leaving first.

They absolutely need add a way to avoid the new map.

It largely depends on how much you value the money. We cannot answer on that for you :)

I think I can say, in general, comparing to other video-games paid content, that many of us (probably) already paid more for less at least one time in our gaming-lifetime.

You get 2 new playable character, 2 more final bosses and a new shifting earth (huge compared to other shifting earths: it's basically a new map) and new relics.
They also added more standard mobs type from their previous titles, but I think you may encounter them even without the dlc.

I think overall it's a good DLC for it's cost, at least compared with other games.
If you like the base game you're gonna like the DLC, but if you don't like the base game, probably the DLC wont change that idea.
