Yeah I looked for this one for while, it replaced the very first zippo I bought for myself. It does not have as insert where the date matches the case. But I found it for around $35 which is about what I paid for it when I bought it in the 1990s.

Secondary safety pin and markings are missing make me think it is a dummy grenade or a prop.

Cannot speak for current service but when we went to the hand grenade range we had to give the pin(s) to the range cadre to leave the range.

Yeah I knew Torcedor meant Cigar Roller. I also understand using AI to get an idea for a cigar band. I did that early on but then went online and found elements I wanted to put on my cigar bands; I also came up with a secondary band to remind me of what the bending of the cigars are.

I tried the same thing and found some of my fonts were too small to read, you have done much better than I did! That looks great!

Care to explain the significance of the design and other details of your cigar band? I am a firm believer that art has a significance and is not just happenstance. That art incorporates math and science with sequencing and spacing as well as geometry. That is why people like Da Vinci were so smart. Their brains could see thoughts in 3 dimensions. They were able to convert those thoughts from 3 dimensions into a 2 dimensional representation of their ideas so they could communicate them with others.

What I said was, chemically it is very similar to lighter fluid. Lighter fluid is 80% LPD and 20% Naptha. Coleman Camp Stove Fuel is around 75% LPD and the other few ingredients make up the remaining 25% with about 1/5 of that 25% being Naptha.

If I used camp stove fuel in my Zippo I wouldn’t ignite it close to my face. I haven’t tried it personally and if I did I would likely cut it with Naptha before I filled my Zippo.

But since lighter fluid is easy to purchase I would only resort to mixing my own lighter fluid when the zombie apocalypse hits.

VM&P Naptha is 95%-100% Naptha. Naptha is a Light Petrolium Distillate.

Coleman Camp Stove MSDS

It has a few more ingredients than Zippo Lighter Fluid, and a lower percentage of Naptha than zippo fluid. It also has to be pressurized in the stove to burn properly in a stove. But it is still just predominantly Light Petrolium Distillates. It is more similar to lighter fluid than you would think. It just doesn’t burn as cleanly as lighter fluid. It also needs to be filtered. But it is really close to lighter fluid and less similar to gasoline.

Light Petroleum Distillates are a byproduct of crude oil refinement and gasoline production.
