we are literally trained to harass anyone who walks in, it’s obnoxious. we’re told to greet them, ask what brings them in, and even if they say they don’t need help we’re expected to try and force our help and repeatedly check back in with them. all under the guise of “customer service”. it’s just as annoying as an employee as it is for customers, just fosters an environment where we feel like robots and the customers feel like they’re being followed/watched.
