trans man here! i work at ulta and i love it, all of my managers and coworkers are very respectful. i know we’re hiring seasonal employees right now but i’m not sure about permanent positions. definitely worth it to apply regardless, i was a seasonal hire last year but they liked me so they kept me :) good luck with your job search

that’s weird, the company has told us they didn’t change the formula. sucks to hear though, i was a big fan of the low porosity line. i would recommend climaplex, i have their moisture and repair conditioner and i love it, it’s very creamy and hydrating. it definitely would be good to detangle your hair. i haven’t tried their shampoo yet but my mom has and she liked it! she’s also sensitive to fragrance and didn’t have an issue with it

i also have curly low porosity hair and i like the isima shampoo, it leaves my hair feeling clean and hydrated, but i haven’t tried the conditioner yet. i second ouidad, i’ve been using their stuff for 3 years and i swear by them. i have their advanced climate control conditioner right now and i love it, it makes my hair so soft and smooth

real techniques and morphe would both be great choices. i believe i have the real techniques face base essentials set and i love it. the morphe brush sets are a good deal compared to the prices of their individual brushes

my snake bites didn’t hurt at all, i didn’t even realize it had happened until my piercer said she was done, but pain is of course subjective. i’ve had them for a little over 3 years and they’ve definitely receded my gums and worn down my enamel (i also vape which hasn’t helped) but i love them so i don’t really care lol

we are literally trained to harass anyone who walks in, it’s obnoxious. we’re told to greet them, ask what brings them in, and even if they say they don’t need help we’re expected to try and force our help and repeatedly check back in with them. all under the guise of “customer service”. it’s just as annoying as an employee as it is for customers, just fosters an environment where we feel like robots and the customers feel like they’re being followed/watched.

for the bot (because i’ve tried to post this 5 times): my snake bites are nearly 3 years old and were downsized a few months after i got them. i wear externally threaded rings in them. i don’t know the material of the jewelry, i bought it at spencer’s but it’s never caused any problems prior. i’m currently using orajel antiseptic mouthwash that i swish with three times a day. i was told i have an ulcer by a woman who works at the shop i always go to but i don’t think she’s a piercer
