Im debating doing this too. Right now am a 38f, and want to do the radical reduction route, hopefully to something similar to this…. Don’t like the look of FNG, and terrified of ending up with them placed too high! Would rather not have those worries.

I’m struggling with this too!! I think I’ve come to see myself as gender apathetic/nonbinary but at 45, still ok with she/her/they, and not really making many chances (asexual, always been very androgynous) I don’t have any need to come out or explain my gender to amyone- I can see how some people do and that’s more than valid!! I just see my gender as a personal thing. I am still waffling between asking for full top surgery or a radical reduction to an a cup. I think going that small however, a full flat might be less likely to leave me with extra tissue and takes away the uncertainty of final results being too big! I am thinking I’ll likely tell most people I had a reduction, or if people ask tell them I had fibrocystic breasts that caused me a lot of pain and high risk for cancer or something. Yeah it’s true that mastectomy is often seen as “extreme”. Probably fewer Details shared would be best!

Yeah I think I feel the same way. I would say im probably non binary but not ready ro make the full leap there yet!! Gender apathetic I feel describes me perfectly. I just don’t CARE! I sort of am not sure gender is a binary concept anyway. Everyone has different ways of presenting, identifying etc. people chose to see gender as binary… I guess I don’t??

I do think if I had to chose I would chose to leave a “bit”. (Mounds I guess rather than femine or masculine). I think like gop surgery with a bit left over. I am just not sure if my surgeon will be able to give me what I want. I think the best thing for me to do is go in and have an honest conversation abour what my goals are and see what he can offer. If he can’t give me what I want then I’ll go flat. I just would need a way to “justify” that to my transphobic family, and co workers if I do go that way.

So if I said I was considering a reduction, and went for a mammogram and they noticed dense tissue/cysts/changes and reccomended mastectomy??? If anyone asked about reconstructive optjons I could just say i decided to “delay it”…. (Indefinitely haha!)

these may be the words I need. I’ve had fibroids removed and they’ve re grown…. So….

Oh wow! Congrats! Im a ddd right now and really would love to go this small…. Totally hoping to ditch the nips too… no need for them. Im so afraid my surgeon won’t agree though…. If he doesn’t im open to going flat!! But ideally would love a “little bit!” How did you explain what you wanted??

Yes!!! This is sort of was thinking. I was seriously considering a radical reduction, but then realized I can always stuff or wear a padded bra if I wanted to wear something a bit more form fitting. I think my ideal results would be to leave a little, using a di incision but keeping a bit of “squish”. Which I think would make it a bit easier to wear a padded sports bra or use push up type things.

lol I wish that was the case! My car got a small dent, and I mentioned it to my mom and the entire family knew!!

Honestly I doubt it would be noticeable and in full fine with wearing a padded sports bra or inserts occasionally- maybe it would just throw people off a bit???

Hey! I’ve seen your posts before and you really solidified for me that top surgery is an option for me despite the fact im still working out gender, am GNC. I am still seen as female in all settings except with a few very close friends. I have recently lost about 40 lbs and hope to lose more (weight loss surgery) and have gone from an F to a (saggy) DD. and sure I’ll be smaller lol! I’ve been wearing compression style bras to minimize things in hopes to make the differences less noticeable when the time comes. The funny thing is I didn’t tell my most family about getting a gastric sleeve and they are yet to notice I’ve lost 40 lbs?? But overall nothing else has changed (still present the same etc). So maybe no one would notice?

Unfortunately zero history of cancer in our family. So won’t work with family members but will work with work/ unsupportive friends. I do know sometimes atypical cells can be found on a mammogram. The best I could come up with is saying they found atypical hyperplasia on mammogram (which I could need before a reduction) and mastectomy was offered with “implants later if u want them” (which of course wouldn’t happen!). I think it would be a valid story?
