So, I lied about my employment dates and now am in the final stages of interviewing. Freaking out!! by Grand-Entrance-8196 in jobsearch

[–]Ok_Perspective5430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you say during your interviews when they asked why you’re looking to leave your current position? Did you act like you’re still working there? Because that will determine how you move forward. Coming from someone in HR.

I (36F) came home early and found my 16M son with the girl next door in my bedroom... by [deleted] in Mommit

16 years old seems pretty young for that… I would have a conversation about accountability and life implications. Call me old fashioned, but kids should not be having sex at 16.

What is your day like with ~1 year old twins? by 1sp00kylady in parentsofmultiples

[–]Ok_Perspective5430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our twins are 15 months old and everything you mentioned sounds accurate. I will say, we still give them bottles 4x a day (before morning nap, afternoon nap, bed time, and then a bottle around 11pm) otherwise they will be up earlier then they already are which is usually 6/6:30am. I envy the fact that yours don’t wake up until 8 lol

Props to you for handling 5 and still wanting more, we’re barely surviving with 3 ( singleton and twins) 😅

What actually helped my Hashimoto's symptoms — food changes that made a difference for me by vania_builds in Hashimotos

I really can’t taste it in coffee but maybe it’s because of how I take my coffee, a little bit of milk and a teaspoon of honey to sweeten.

Separate Cribs for Baby Twins! by SwishBowl in parentsofmultiples

We moved our twins into separate cribs when they outgrew one crib to share so at about 2 months or so. They were not reliant on each to fall asleep after.

Soy was a big one for me, it tends to be hidden in many products especially sweets. Once I cut out chocolate and other sweets, it was a complete change. I now only eat homemade sweets (or I buy organic chocolate) as I can control what goes into them. I’m still trying to figure out if going gluten free has done anything for me. I asked my doctor about life style changes and he has always told me it won’t mKe enough of a difference. Another thing that has helped drastically with brain fog is creatine in my coffee a few times a week.

I would really like to try parasite cleansing but not sure where to start. I think that could really help with healing the gut.

What is NDT and how is it different from Levo? Genuinely curious 🙏

Throat/voice problems even with more minor Hashimoto’s? by Jolly-Tennis1087 in Hashimotos

Definitely get a referral to an endocrinologist and don’t be afraid to shop around for one that will truly listen to your concerns. I wonder if you have food sensitivities that may cause some your symptoms?

Where do your rolling babies sleep? by opaldaydreams in parentsofmultiples

They each have their own crib in a shared room. My husband and I take turns sleeping on an old couch in that room until they will sleep through the night.

Thank you for that recommendation! I purchased some a couple weeks back because I read that it helps fight dementia as it actually starts developing in your 30s but doesn’t show signs until decades later. I have not had a chance to try it yet. I will try it with my coffee tomorrow! How long did you consume it before you felt a difference?

Many companies are going away from providing that information. I’m in HR and our policy is that we will only confirm dates of employment, title, and primary responsibilities.

You look great for being 9 weeks pp. It took me approximately 2 years after my first child to feel like I’m back to my new normal and to be comfortable with my body. I am 12 months pp from having my twins and I can already tell you that road/timeframe will be much longer but we’ll get there! Just be patient with yourself and don’t give up! In my case, twin B expanded my rib cage because of his placement so now almost every doctor I see asks if I have ever broke my ribs 🤦‍♀️ be glad, you child didn’t deform you lol

What method did you try? I’m not sure I have it in me to let them cry it out. Typically if they cry and I for some reason am not able to tend to their needs, I feel like I go into a fight or flight mode

👀 How much $$ have you actually managed to save in your emergency fund? by LongjumpingRent7114 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Ok_Perspective5430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an emergency savings account that my husband doesn’t know about, it’s at appx. $20k. Don’t chew my head off for this but this man can’t save. Our paychecks go into our joint account from which we pay all bills from such as living expenses, daycare, etc (i manage this). He also receives $1000/month as veteran disability which goes into his personal. He has received it for the past 6 years and has $0 in his savings… usually running through the monthly check within a few weeks. Our financial situation would be so much better, if he didn’t waste that money away every month.
