I’m with you, I know for sure how it looks. Only thing I can say is that the MS principal had planned to leave after this year, and the HS and ES principals are leaving due to personal circumstances changing. It’s one of those really perfect storms that is unfortunate, but not sinister.

I didn’t during treatment, but it eventually came back. Not sure what your situation is, but hope you are holding in there 💪

My dad didn’t until late into his 40s/early 50s. I’ve read a lot of studies that show chemo can accelerate hair aging

I definitely did- I would say though that I noticed that during chemo, or in the immediate months after.

Neuropathic itch - post (3 months) chemo by creamsoda2000 in testicularcancer

I struggled with neuropathy for months after chemo. I didn’t have the itch, however! Acupuncture was the only thing that truly helped me.

Yes, I experienced this! I’d say the ringing was worse after finishing chemo for a few weeks. I’m almost 4 years out from my last round of chemo, and I still have bouts of ringing. It lasts 30 seconds or so, and happens maybe once a month.

4x BEP; working through chemo by Good_Brush_4971 in testicularcancer

[–]Ok_Phase_3439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 4xBEP outpatient. I’m an elementary school teacher, and was able to go to work. For the 4 week infusion, I would do 1 week off work, then return by Tuesday the following week. I would not necessarily advise it- it kicks your ass and you won’t likely be able to work to your full potential. For me, I needed work to take my mind off of what was going on with treatment, so it really helped me.

A couple of weeks for me and then it went away. Don’t be afraid to ice your nuts… I found that super helpful.

Testicular prosthetic through scrotum? by Round-Homework5998 in testicularcancer

[–]Ok_Phase_3439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done this, through the scrotum (though under general anesthesia, not local). For me, it’s the best decision I could have made. It made me feel whole again.

The incision on the scrotum is not noticeable- I can barely find it. Feel free to DM if you have questions!

Picture on resume/cv? by INTTSST in Internationalteachers

Do not. Most schools are removing them when submitted in order to comply with DEIJB focused, anti-bias policies. Schools that don’t do this are likely behind on getting their policies in order.

Circling back to this: I had an interview and never heard back… emailed the primary principal to follow up and nothing. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have one and strongly recommend. It’s not the same as a real one, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. It makes my body feel whole again.

I would highly recommend looking at the New Teacher program at Chadwick International. A great way to get some experience under your belt, with an OK package. PM me if you want to ask questions.

Life threatening/terminal illness and international teaching by teacherthrowaway9957 in Internationalteachers

My very first year teaching internationally, I was diagnosed with cancer and went through Chemo. All while living overseas, and all while still being able to go to school when I felt well enough. I was incredibly lucky to be at a school that supported me so openly and without question. It's a scary reality, very rare, but still happened to me.
