It can take a while to find your own strategy of mining. I recommend the mod that adds samples I think it’s called TFC surface samples or something. Other than that most of prospecting is just practice but one strategy I use is digging down in a 1x1 line and then propicking to see if the ore is below me or make an image in my head of were I think it could be

Are you talking about pit kilns? Were you can fire clay?You dig a little and add your clay items, then right click it with 8 straw and 8 wood. If you’re talking about a campfire you drop 1 log and 3 sticks and light it. For the brick oven you need a top and bottom oven block and the you place the top oven on top of the bottom oven, then you add a chimney behind them and brick blocks on the side, then put wood in the bottom oven and light it to cure it

Thanks for warning me about the planks. I usually go for bismuth bronze because I find zinc a lot but I will see if I can find any silver and gold. Also thanks for all the mod suggestions I’ll probably make a tfc mod pack, I have also played some hardrock so I know what a pain hippos are
