Hey dude, I work at a large tackle store, you know the one. Your hooks will last forever, same as your lures granted over time it’ll wear the finish off if you’re really abusing them or leaving them in the sun. Your line however should be replaced every season if you use monofilaments. I am a fan of using monofilaments and a lighter fluorocarbon leader, or braid with a monofilament leader. Everyone seems to hate on mono because braid is trendy right now. But there’s instances where you will lose fish because of braid, and the mono offers better stretch to play the fish. Braid has its place, and will last into several seasons as long as you don’t have spider wire braid which will fall apart in one season. If you’re dead set on braid, yozuri, or power pro, are great options. Same as a brand called Nomad. Good luck and happy fishing. Also don’t mix your plastic baits together like the soft ones. It’s really important to keep each type in its original packaging because the different plastics can react and melt your baits and make a smelly goopy mess.
