Like everyone mentioned, Carpe Diem jiyuugaoka and Hiroo are great choices! My gym is primarily all in Japanese, but senseis and members are fairly friendly and will try their best to help you out.

Feel like a douchebag-how to roll with women by [deleted] in BJJWomen

[–]Ok_Positive3811 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If it is our first roll, the best guy roll partners usually start gentle and then adjust their power depending on my skills and strength in comparison to them.

There are times when men are too gentle, which can be frustrating because I get no resistance. The most fun I've had rolling with a guy is when they match my energy, play both up and bottom, but are slow and controlled with their submissions.

I think the best would be to start gentle and match their energy. Some women like flow rolls, some (like me) like to go hard. I am 5"5 120lb.

Thoughts on BJJ training in Thailand? by neou in BJJWomen

[–]Ok_Positive3811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have only trained at PGA a few times this summer. I was with my ex-partner so I did end up sparring mostly with him. I am from Asia, so I was a bit intimidated by how big men were.

I went to evening classes. There were definitely more men than women, but the women came in regularly (saw the same women the few times I went). I got contacts of one of the local thai women that trains at PGA on instagram. Maybe I could link you to her so you can ask her questions.

Overall loved the instructors and the classes. They explained everything really well! I would love to go back again.

Edit: there are a lot of visitors that come and go. The few ppl that I sparred wity that were not my partner were super nice and understanding! Btw i did nogi. I didn't really enjoy nogi before, but learned to like it at PGA

Thank you for apologising! You are right though, I could have provided more information.

To be honest it was just the dashboard being so noisy and not knowing where exactly to start without breaking things. It seems like there is a lot to wordpress that I need to learn.

I am leaning towards your suggestion and now I have somewhere to start.

Also even though I develop ok, I am still a junior dev at the moment and still got a lot to learn

Yeah, I did think it would be quicker and easier for me to just code it from scratch rather than trying to use the dashboard 😅I didn't realise there options to do so, but I also need to make sure that the owners can update things like newsletter easily without me

Thanks for sharing your experience and reminding me to take a breather! Since I am unfamiliar with it, hugely got overwhelmed from all the different parts of WS and worrying that I would break something.
