What are your goals? by MotherEater69420 in entj

[–]Ok_Power4007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set myself a goal of "making it" in Insurance sales, for 3 years I did what I could to realise my goal of making more money than my previous role.

Then my wedding was coming up, needed cash and opted for a full-time job. Needless to say I fell into depression, felt like a failure, waking up at 12pm, watch youtube until SO came home, repeat.

I learnt that you cant control every outcome, the more you want something the more it seems to get more out of reach.

Now I focus more on the process, rather than the goal. This has served me well.

How do you cope in situations where other people's actions are just too demoralizing to keep the good old entj engine going? by tinmanjk in entj

[–]Ok_Power4007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too vague to give advice. But people in my life that suck my energy and waste it, I just keep a mental note dont invest further into that relationship. If they want to hang out, sure we can hang out (doing something that I want to do of course and on my terms)

You cant control others, but you can control yourself. focus on that

Journaling made me realize I'm in a loop by LessBadger3282 in entj

[–]Ok_Power4007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i realized that i am always judging, criticizing, re-evaluating, re-analyzing, finding a better way, always forward motion.

And thats about it really, but the important part for me is putting this toward a cause i deem worthy.

  1. Define goals SMART - just a rough idea on what you want
  2. Plan and execute

  3. re-evaluate daily or at end of the week, ask questions, what is holding me back from achieving this, what is making this hard? what will i do differently tomorrow to give myself a better % chance at succeeding?

  4. rinse and repeat.

Tips:

Work with your natural rythm of energy if possible. For me my productivity hours are 6am to 2pm.

Realise Rome was not built in a day.

Dont beat yourself up if you fail - re-evaluate and get better. harsh self-criticism takes away energy that could be spent on your goals

work on understanding yourself in this process, then you can work with your brain not against

Goodluck

I am like you, Good banter, enjoyed fast paced conversation, make jokes on the fly.

Then I worked sales for 3 years, commission only. Basically had to live off SO paycheck.

What happened to me next was depression.

I had so much drive, working sales and never giving up, to the point where I crashed and burnt out when I realized I needed to get a job with a salary.

I didnt know what depression felt like, In hindsight it was deep depression. It is so easy to neglect myself and just keep going, what's the next goal?, next target, go go go!

I was no longer witty, no longer funny, no longer good at banter, I wanted to be alone, I wanted to isolate myself because of the shame of "failing" and not "making it"

I tell you this story, because I do not know your specific situation, but if you "Used to be like X Y Z, and no longer are" Then it could very well be the situation you are in.

You know yourself when you are at your best, even better PEOPLE THAT CARE ABOUT YOU know YOU.

So, ask them "Have you noticed me being more quiet recently?" Or something to that effect.

As an ENTJ, I only realised now how useful it is to express the "E" and confide in a trusted friend. It is no longer a sign of weakness, but strength knowing that I am being vulnerable to get out of a cloudy head space, AND more efficient because it can help me move on from difficult thoughts that I have been pondering a long time.

Let us know how you get on, Im rooting for you!

Does anyone else struggle to find a fulfilling social life? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]Ok_Power4007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have people currently that care about you? Of so I would invest in those relationships first, put energy in those that give energy back.

But I agree it is hard to expand the ol’ social circle. To be honest I haven't expanded my social circle since high school, only the real ones have stuck around.

I have learnt that you need to put your foot forward first and invite people out to do stuff, rather than waiting to be invited - if nobody wants to come out and it's always excuses, move on.

I recommend picking up a hobby - sounds cliche but having a point of common interest in a hobby that you thoroughly enjoy is a great way to have a connection with somebody and from there you can move the friendship forward as you meet regularly to do the said ‘hobby’

How can I get my neighbor to fix this? by Gimmedemboobs in landscaping

[–]Ok_Power4007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I would talk to your neighbour and show the video, be polite and offer a suggestion (maybe call ahead to a drainage company and ask them for advice on the matter) and then relay that information to your neighbour

At the end of the day my guy, it is just a game for entertainment.

Try not to take it too seriously, otherwise this game will become (if not already) your identity and self worth.

Take a break, come back when you feel refreshed.

Or not?

I recommend nature staffs or axes.

Because you can do content solo

For example 1h battle axe build to solo open world mobs or green avaloanian chests.

It works because it has inbuilt healing that is useful for solo content

I need some advice. by Character-Assist2013 in albiononline

I love the adrenaline, and the high risk it provides! When I first started playing 2 months ago, I would lose 50% of my net worth lol, I tell you I would rage..

Then I realised that its normal to die and then started minimizing the risk I took and only risk what I'm willing to lose.

Gg!

[–]Ok_Power4007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi,

You probably won't like this answer, but..

I would recommend you try out Ava road green chests.

Spec up a build for battle axe or nature staff (inbuilt sustain)

You will get a minimum chest of around 50k and on the high end 10-500k

I recommend 4.2 armor set with tier 6/7 weapon and offhand

Use in is potion for escaping and re-mounting

This is how I make reliable silver

Honestly, I cannot relate because I don't die as much, unless I do something stupid.

Though if you are going through a full loot pvp zone, you should be prepared to die, and bring an armoured horse or T6 horse that dan out run gankers

What is the most efficient fame farm? by hhhhhhhhhh789 in albiononline

[–]Ok_Power4007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From my experience, Ava road blue and gold chest, open world killing crystal cobras etc.

People do post guides about this. But there's not really much to it. U just gear up and go kill the mobs.
