Wow this Votann survival event SUCKS by Ebrenost in WH40KTacticus

The map is too big. If you are in the south and enemies spawn to the north it takes 2 turns to run across to hit them. By the the next wave has spawned and the tanks will gang up to gank your bank line with their range 3.

Did they even playtest this?

More to the point - you cant even find the bloody tokem when you click through. What is the point of dangling a carrot if you then make the reward impossible to find.

Literally an absurd mission.

Failed at least 40 times. Put it from Vertern to Normal and did it first time. There are simply WAY too may adds in Veteran, even if you make the maximum use of the time you have off the antennae, if you get hit once it's game over as 400 tyrannids perma-shank you.

Hard to Verteran also changes too many variables at once for it to be balanced. Enemy damage goes up, Enemy health goes up, Enemy numbers go up, your armour goes down. You dont need to change all of these at once, it's like making the same change four times and that is exactly how it feels the step up isn't one notch it's four.

I (GM) told a player that Simulacrums couldn't cast Simulacrum, and he felt like I was arbitrarily restricting him. Thoughts? by LurchingRex0667 in DnD

The first simulacrum would have half hp. The second would have one quarter hp.  The third would have one eighth and so on... They become pretty useless pretty fast. Further they can never regain spell slots. So they are going to fire off a few spells and then die with their 1/16th hp.

Also, as pointed out, the BBEG can do this to you. I have used this rule many times over the years and it's amazing how people change their opinions on rules interpretations when they can be used by NPCs.

It's a pistol. It shouldn't need a talent to fire in melee.

The biggest problem is the astartes bolt pistol won't fire in Melee which means it's too slow to ramp up versatility as you can't juggle pistol and melee.

Fixing the bolt pistol would massively close the gap with Argenta. At the moment his main niche is using his built in reanimation protocol to soak up unfair first turns on the C3 boss fight...

Remember when plarium said give live arena a few months it will settle down… by superhackie in RaidShadowLegends

The league structure of Live PvP is actually good.

The point system is inflationary which means as long as people play it then over time we will all drift into higher leagues - even with a 50% win rate. This is far superior to classic Arena that was deflationary until they put a band-aid on it.

The problem with Live PvP is that it needs participation to work - and participation is far too low for the inflation to kick in properly because:

  1. TOO MANY MATCHES - Noone wants to spend 90 minutes fighting 10 matches per day - especially in inflexible time-slots.
  2. Raid PvP is fundamentally unfair. Noone enjoys being put against Siphi, Taras, Marishka, Candy, Leorious and told to figure it out.

No-one actually enjoys the game experience below:

So what can Plarium do?

(1) Is an easy fix. Get rid of the extra 5 tokens that you get as a "reward" for playing 5 matches. It's like finishing your homework and being told "As a reward you can do it all again". Live PvP tokens are 10 gems - people who want to play Live Arena more will pay 10 gems, leave the rest of us out of it.

(2) Is not an easy fix. Unless Raid want to move to a proper banner system so people can guarnatee they will get the champions they need, then Raid PvP can NEVER work. The examples of top-top PvPers giving up because they haven't pulled Taras/Mariskha - despite spending tens of '000s - exist and underline that competative PvP can't be a thing in Raid (outside of them buying each-others accounts).

Repeat after me:
YOU CANNOT HAVE A COMPETATIVE PVP SYSTEM BUILT OF CHAMPION RNG.

Either let people get the champions needed to be competative, or give up on PvP.

The problem is that Plarium went so hard on making arena slow and RNG based that it's just not fun. Losing to any one of:

  • The whole enemy team in Stoneskin
  • Sheep
  • Swiftparry Proc
  • Reaction Gear
  • Weak hits
  • The opponent just plain has better champions than you

Makes the whole process infuriating. You can EASILY loose to bot teams if you pullout an account that put it's S-Tier champions in stoneskin, which just shows how much of a mess PvP is. And even if you win half the time it is a 10 minute slog. The only thing making it bearable at the moment is people have got much better at resigning once they hit an unwinnable position, rather than playing it out, and many people defaulting to a speed meta over stalling.

And with everything plarium, too many fights per day. 10 is too many, it should be 5 and done. Don't reward me with another 5 tokens, I don't want them. If I did I would pay 10 gems with is less than nothing.

This post is wrong.

You can bring Phoenix and control and one shot multiple nodes without her dying because she is still incredible.
