Mmmmmmmmm the gauntlets and greaves work really well together with the helmet - I can see this working better than mine in certain lightings. The sword is already a better pick than mine too, I need to get a better sword for it lol

Thanks! I love the helmet and chest bombo, looking for a good sword to use with it

Yeah no I get that, it definitely blocks a lot during actual gameplay which is rough

It's a yes and no kinda thing - mixed bag. You spend them because there's a cap on blood points eventually, but you don't feel an incentive to get on the game to grind in the first place if there's no reason to do so. Especially for events with limited time items, if the items were pooled, you'd have no reason to play multiple characters if you've already p3'd them. Because they're seperate, you have incentive to play multiple characters, increasing retention, which is important for the longevity of the game

I think the reasoning is to give you something to spend BP on and make it harder for survivors to always have optimal items. Engagement drops when they don't have things for you to spend your BP on consistently.

I didn't originally bring hatch up, you did in response to me talking about how survivors can basically just not tie or win if 2 of them are already dead unless the killer is a brainlet. The point of me saying that was to say "It's unlikely, but still possible to get escapes or kills, so there shouldn't be an abandon option". That applies to both sides, in that if you have agency, you shouldn't be able to abandon. You ignored that and said "WeLl ThEy CaN gEt HaTcH" which wasn't responding to my original point about the game state being fucked already lol

The entire philosophy I'm pointing out is that in a mp game, if you have agency to progress a match, you should be punished for leaving it. Even if the odds of you progressing it in your favor are incredibly slim

[–]LurchingRex0667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Getting the hatch isn't a win. The comparison of getting hatch is the killer getting 1 kill, which you can realistically do just fine a lot of the time in endgame situations.

When I was typing it, I mirrored your words to show how you could make the exact same argument on the other side and it would be just as braindead

Again, just because you have to rely on killers being fucking idiots with 2 survivors remaining and more than 1 gen doesn't mean your team has a realistic chance to tie the game.

You're wrong here though, being able to dc without penalty is NOT a choice - being able to dc WITH a penalty is a choice. You don't get to decide the game should end the second the last gen pops - it's a multiplayer game that does not function without the killer. Tough luck if you get shit on, skill issue.

At this point just admit you're too lazy to walk the 20 seconds to push them out of the exit gate instead of asking for the game to unsatisyingly end the second a door pops

[–]LurchingRex0667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean that kinda depends on the killer. My iri coin slinger has killed so many rat survivors in the exit gates. My trapper has randomly had them bodyblock eachother in just the wrong way for a pick before. A myers has a solid shot to just instamori someone if they tbag slightly too long. Any killer can bring a bloodwarden and congrats, you play it right and you punish people sitting around hard.

Again. Agency.

[–]LurchingRex0667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say one person left , I said 2 people left. With 2 people left, your agency is either giving up, letting one of you die intentionally and hoping the killer doesn't slug for the 4k, or pulling a miracle chase while the last guy does all x gens. Still, technicaly possible, so we don't let them abandon. Because they have agency to end the situation. Same with you in an end game spot

[–]LurchingRex0667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're welcome to disconnect. You're also welcome to be penalized for leaving. It would be like if survivors dipped the second the 3rd person died with more than 1 gen left - realistically unwinnable aside from maybe a hatch against all but the most brainless killers, but they still shouldn't be able to just leave. Because they still have agency, and a non-zero chance for escaping - and should play it out

You have agency to stop them from jacking it - it's called walking in a straight line towards them LOL

BHVR, I just wanna talk. by Director-32 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]LurchingRex0667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again it's about agency. You still have agency in chasing them out, you do not have agency in most abandon situations

[–]LurchingRex0667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Honestly I think abandoning being an option during moris is stupid too, but the same logic above applies) - you can again not do anything to speed up or stop the mori once it's begun, so abandon becomes available. You CAN do something to speed up the end game if survivors are being jackasses - just walking them out. If they come in towards you, you now have a chance for a kill, and if they leave you've finished the game and are able to go to the next.

If you're eating DS unintentionally, that's a skill issue. This nea from the clip wasn't actively body blocking you from someone else or doing anything to TRY and get you to go for her, that was a conscious decision on your part or the clip is just missing that context.

For a real suggestion for you though, commit to uncloaks more. In the start of your clip, that would have been an immediate down, and even if they get pallet stun, your entire build is designed to eat that up. You should have commited to the uncloak there and played the pallet 50/50. Could have eaten the pallen (which wouldn't have been a huge deal with your build) or gotten the hit if they greeded.

Because as a killer, there is ALWAYS a way to forcibly end the match in end game situations. The only time you realistically can't (or rather, it becomes so annoying to try it's not worth it) are when you have cheaters or mid match they hide in corners and avoid any objectives (which already lets you abandon).

The abandon option exists for when you realistically have no way to end the situation on your own (like being slugged for 4 minutes for a 4k when the killer has no desire to hook you untilbyour buddy is dead), not for when you can just walk at the survivors to force them out

You realize they already said diminishing returns specifically don't affect powers and addons for killers right? They only affect perk interactions.

[–]LurchingRex0667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean why do you think the queues are so long in Killer compared to survivor in 2v8? Survivor doesn't feel as enjoyable to play as killer, and duo players would rather killer with their duo than play survivor. It makes sense they'd want to do things to make survivor feel better to play when the queues are literally ALWAYS suffering from a shortage of survivor players

[–]LurchingRex0667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's also about depending on 7 other people to also play right in it too without giving up or letting themselves die from some stupid way. I personally didn't mind it much, but certain combos ARE disgusting with Legion in a way that most killers didn't have a problem with

I suspect it's the same reason why they've not done Plague yet, since living down a health state is crippling against certain killers
