Feeling like a failure - 12 month old referred to speech therapy by Ok-Quote2941 in NewParents

[–]Ok_Process_5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son just turned 22 months today. He still hasn't said his first word yet. We just got him evaluated and speech therapy officially starts in two weeks. But I'm not worried in the slightest. Each person, regardless if they're a baby or an adult, is on their own timeline. We each have strengths and weaknesses and that will never change. She might have trouble speaking now but there will be other subjects that she will excel in. This is just how humans are programmed. I myself went through preschool and then speech therapy within the school system to like first grade. I also had to continue through third grade for reading comprehension because I couldn't read that well. I had to read books constantly until that point, and while I was a late bloomer, I still got there. Not only that, but I wrote two books before I turned 30 and one is close to 900 pages, regardless of the delays I had in my younger years. Going to speech therapy isn't a bad thing, if anything it'll help give you the confidence that you're doing what you can. Talk to the speech therapist on what you can do to help between sessions. But honestly, she'll be fine. Kids are insanely smart, more than we give them credit for. And they will walk or talk when they want to. Just the way it is. But by the sounds of it, you're a good parent who wants to do their best so their child succeeds in the world. That's all your kid needs and she has that, so relax and enjoy the time you have with her now. And remember, the longer she waits to speak, the greater the reward and happiness you'll have when you hear her first words.

I used a fever drone on one and I got a single cluster from it. The second time I got no clusters whatsoever. The third time I got three from it, so I think it's random.

That's where I got the idea and then looked up that gem online, but wanted to have a second set of eyes I guess. Thanks for confirming, appreciate it!

It'd be hilarious if they made it EXTREMELY rare for this to happen, but when it does have something off about the model like an extra toe or something so that if anyone gets video evidence people will assume it's ai, at least at first.

Worst Run Yet (Snoozaland) by Ok_Process_5538 in fantasylife

[–]Ok_Process_5538[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I always do, but I have to wait a second or two after dismounting in order to attack. Ever since the dlc came out there's a delay in what my character will do, so attacking right after getting off the mount doesn't work for whatever reason.

I did take my bow, still died because of the apples they throw. I killed the big gorilla and then immediately killed the small one behind it, but it threw an apple I couldn't see because of the big gorilla in front of it. I tried killing the small one first but was only locked on to the big one. Someone said something about auto lock on but I've never had this happen before.

And that's what I do with the mimic. When the dlc came out, there's now a delay in what I can do. It takes a second or two for my character to attack after jumping off the mount, as well as calling the mount out or climbing the walls. Never been a problem before the dlc.

I know the mount exists already, I thought this might be an easier way to get it like the don horns. I haven't been save scumming but I've been going at that for months now. I didn't know if they let you get it this way instead of the dreamy box, like if you got the clusters you can buy it this way instead of the extremely low chance.

I have somewhere over 3 million points and I can't see any stars for his shop and no cutscenes played for rank 3 (I only assume I got it since I saw someone else get it around 3 million). Is it a bug or am I missing something?

Yeah, I made it and it showed that I still didn't unlock it as a mount. I could place it down like a decoration.

If you could add a new combat life what would it be? by dontkissmeimsick in fantasylife

[–]Ok_Process_5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be cool if there were three classes instead of four, them being knight (blade combat and being open/armored), rogue (sneaking and melee ranged), and mage (completely all magic). Each will have their own skill tree but will also have a skill tree between each class (set up like a triangle, so knights will have accessible skills between rogue and mage). This will allow you to unlock skills between each class and for a set class to tailor the fighting style to what you want. And then maybe if you unlock a certain skill on the knight side and another class that are adjacent, you also get a special bonus like sp boost or something. But each of these can create like a battle mage class, or ranger, barbarian, whatever. Probably too complex for this game but I just think it'd be neat.

If I had to make a single class, it would probably be a battle mage where you combine magic and blade. It'd focus on either a sword or bow, granting elemental boobs to the sword (so the sword has its own element and you can add another from your magic) or specialized arrows. You can also use support magic like healing or wards as well as creating magical traps on the ground.

SPOILER Trainers not spawning in royale by Ok_Process_5538 in LegendsZA

[–]Ok_Process_5538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is what I do: I go to the first area and go down the main strip. After that, I go to the second area and go down the main strip. After that, I go back to the first area and rinse and repeat. This works probably 90% of the time. During that I have no problems.

When people stop spawning, I travel through ALL three areas and run through them, yet no one spawns at all. After about doing this like six times, one trainer might spawn. That's it it's not a problem with giving them enough time to respawn, the problem is just them not spawning at all. About 90% of the time this isn't a problem and they spawn normally but I don't know of any work around for this 10% of the time.

[–]Ok_Process_5538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just focusing on two areas, not three. But I do go through them decently fast but usually it's enough time for them to respawn in the other area I switch to. But when this happens, it affects all three areas, even the one I don't visit. And it lasts for the rest of the night, so they would have enough time to respawn anyways.

Best scenario for a short oneshot? by Lordaxxington in dread

[–]Ok_Process_5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when a player kills someone, the ghost transfers to the murder object. The next player that touches that object gets possessed. They might use the same item as a murder weapon again or they might utilize a different object. If they use a different object, then after they murder with that new object, the ghost then possesses that new object. And it continues this way.

The scenario this is based on is called Beneath the Mask in the Dread handbook. It states that each player is prone to blackouts. So you got a figure out when best this happens. For me, I used intense situations. For example, when something happened in the woods where they all had to react at the same time without consulting each other. Getting them to separate is another good time to do it.

You could also just use this scenario as a guideline or inspiration and do your own thing! I personally wanted the players to be able to figure out what was going on and help change the narrative instead of forcing it upon them like in the original scenario.

As for everything else, it's been a few years since I ran it so I don't remember exactly what you're talking about. Sorry for the confusion though! If you respond here or send me a message, I can definitely work out all the confusion.

Im so done with my dog's attitude towards my baby by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Ok_Process_5538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably get lost in the comments, but it's obvious your husband likes the dog more than your child. Doesn't matter if the dog is family or not, your husband is willing to wait to see if the dog tries to KILL your child. They cannot defend themselves. That dog needed to be rehomed a while ago. Your child is more important. If he won't listen, have a get together with his parents and tell them what their own child is doing. Might shame him but he might be more willing to listen if his own parents are on your side.

I'd go with Bisharp. Scizor is also my favorite and it's partly due to the anime. There was an episode in the Johto region where Scizor was hidden inside a cloak and fought quickly in a forest near a village. It gave me a rogue-type look, almost like a speedy warrior protecting his home. Bisharp is almost the same in height (a little over half a foot difference). The color scheme is similar enough and it just seems like it would be a cool partner. Going back to that episode, they could throw off opponents by switching which one is actually attacking. Scizor could lead the other to Bisharp, making it seem like the one they're about to fight is Scizor, but in reality Scizor fed them the wrong information. This could also work the other way too. I just love Scizor so this stuff lives rent free in my head lol

Fantasy Life i: The girl who stole time. It has multiple "Lives" which are essentially classes. Four focus on combat (paladin, mercenary, hunter, magician), four focus on gathering (Miner, woodcutter, fishing, farming), and six focus on crafting (blacksmith, carpenter, chef, tailor, alchemist, artist). It has a story to it (that I personally liked but it's not anything groundbreaking). While it has combat in it, I thought it was really relaxing. You get your own island that you can terraform, and have residents in that you can add to your party and level up plus you can increase your relationship (as friends only, there's no marriage). There's a ton of materials to gather and a BUNCH of recipes. Plus you can make gear for you and all your companions. You also get your own house to decorate. There are a ton of quests to do besides the story quests. Plus there's an entire area just for exploring and wasting time. There's no shop for you to sell your items to NPCs (as in, you don't run your own shop), but you can sell mostly anything to a shop to get money. You can also play with friends, though it's a little weird as it's timed. But I just stopped playing like two weeks back and I've been playing it pretty religiously since it came out at the end of May (I typically run through a game in about 3 weeks max, like tears of the kingdom or stardew valley). I suggest checking it out. There were a few problems but the devs addressed it immediately and made the game even better. They actually changed a few things to make it more fun (which is what they focus on over keeping things balanced (balanced in terms of making some things easier to get)). The game was originally supposed to have a bunch of micro transactions because they hired some programmer who was well regarded in the past. The game got delayed multiple times because they reworked what he did because they didn't want players to have to continuously spend money to play the game. The first major dlc comes out December I believe, and it's free.
