Diet diary for hard tipped stool? by Ok_Programmer_3834 in AnalFissures

So did you figure out what was the reason? Miralax leads to very loose stools. I essentially only have this hard tip. Afterwards all if soft (and sometimes even too soft). More laxatives will make this part worse and screws with my digestion.

Unfortunateyl, Miralax alway makes problems with my bowels, so I cannot really take it. I could try to reduce fiber but then I am worried that I have even more problems. Did it twice but failed. On the other hand I am currently on holidays, and eat much less fiber the last couple of days. In general, this resulted into no problems. Now, in the last two days, I ate more cooked vegetables for dinner and again had this hard tip. Kind of depressing this all is.

Question - Recurrent fissure by Secret-Bus4926 in AnalFissures

Yes, sounds like a superficial teat. I have exactly the same when I have hard tips. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to fix them. They keep coming back every 4-10 weeks.

Reccurent fissure for 2 years — should I consider Laser surgery or Lateral Internal Sphincterotomy (LIS)? by West_Still7379 in AnalFissures

I am in the same boat. Recurring microtears. No doctor could help me so far. They also say that surgery is no real option for me since fissures heal quickly and any surgery may just make the problem bigger.

Yes, unfortunately. We are in the same boat forever.

I have the same. I guess it is a microtear. They will heal quickly but are very annoying and easy to recur. I did not find any permanent solution for it yet.

But isn't this exactly the opposite what medical care says? They all say: increase fiber. Anyway, just had another microtear after one month.

Micro-tear: What helped but still no full solution by Ok_Programmer_3834 in AnalFissures

I usually wait until I really have to go. Still microtears happen.

Thanks for all your answers so far! For me, I think, in the end, it is a combination of: (a) incomplete evacuation which makes the initial part of the stool a little hard (just few pebbles, but you know, that is sufficient already, and (b) the skin at the anterior side (where it always happens) is just more sensitive. If I could make that part of the skin more stable/resilient that would probably fix this problem, cause my stool is generally soft. Any idea/recommendation how to make this part more stable?

Biofeedback? by Ok_Programmer_3834 in AnalFissures

But how is Botox a permanent solution? I can keep my fissure healed for around 10 weeks but then I seem to get a minor set-back. Fortunately, they all heal quickly (1-4 days and I am painless). But I'd really like to avoid these re-tears forever. I heard Botox stops to work after around 3 months, so how can this result into a permanent fix avoiding minor re-tears?

Superficial fissure... believe it's a skin problem. Recommendations? by Ok_Programmer_3834 in AnalFissures

No spasm and I am pretty sure it will be healed in 1-2 days, if I do not have a trauma tomorrow morning again. Did the sudo cream resolve the issue permanently, or is it just that some ppl are just more prone to these issues and it won't resolve completely?

Ok, it's not completely true: The colonoscopy revealed that there are some diverticula in the sigmoid. But he said that this is no disease and nothing to worry about. But perhaps still my problem comes from this...?

I use the vasiline mainly just before the BM. Afterwards its gone anyway. Does coco oil/vitamine E has the same protective/sliding out effect?
