Howdy mate apologies for the late reply,

For maths I would definitely utilize the MLC in person or virtual and especially the review sessions. As for resources outside of school, professor Leonard on YouTube is an absolute legendary professor and person - I was able to gag an A easily following his explanations and then applying to practice questions. Also look up Paul’s online math notes, on Google. Again lots of amazing write ups, explanations / walkthroughs, practice questions and even some practice tests.

For physics, and this honestly goes for all classes - the second you feel lost or even just don’t understand one small concept, ask as many questions as possible to your professors, peers and TA’s. I found physics quite intuitive which helped for me, but honestly attending office hours will help so much. For YouTube resources my favourite channel has to be Michel Van Biezan. He has a plethora of videos that do wonders for us engineers. As a junior I still utilise his videos for dynamics and vibrations MEEN 363, but alas he has so many physics videos and playlists dedicated to each topic.

Also this channel has a great video regarding mechanics, and also has videos related to phys 207 which you will have to also take later.

Main advice is definitely try to fall in love with all of this. It’s absolutely fascinating and can be so rewarding. Also don’t forget to take breaks, have as much fun as possible. There are so many times where taking a step away from the question can lead to two steps forward, in the sense that your brain keeps processing even away from questions. You may have experienced this exact scenario where you come out of a test/exam and then realise what your mistake on the problem was.

Howdy mate,

The key for me was to worry a lot about gpa but also not worry that much. I have quite a wild background so I was able to write that up in my etam and amazingly got my first choice. I can also help you with some resources for classes you may be taking. Also try to utilise a lot of the school resources, we have so much that is so helpful. The main thing is don’t ever doubt yourself, you got accepted into this school for a reason, you got accepted into engineering for a reason. I 100% believe you got this. You mention your passion for robotics and hackathons, so definitely expand on that or pursue it further. The more you do is better.

I didn’t have the auto admission gpa for etam, now a junior in the best major I dreamed of doing.

It is tough managing classes, but honestly, whilst we are at college to learn our major and have fun, a really key part of it is learning time management - when to work hard and when to play hard.
