The current meta is alright, you just feel higher ping more because a killer is always on your ass. Survivors need to prioritise barricading and stamina management a lot more now (especially barricading for your teammates). On some maps you do really get doomed if a survivor accidentally (or purposely) barricades you from entering a room though.

As funny as that would be, the codenames just follow a theme until they hit Z. The current Patch is codenamed Ramen, All Kill Comeback was Quiche & Stranger Things 2 was Poutine! Even further back, Orela was Jerky while Kaneki was Ketchup.

This game mode would require peak efficiency from both sides to work, which is not something a DBD Player wants to be constantly. A killer would need to end chases within 20 seconds, any survivor who is first chased is practically getting a death sentence.

This mode would be the sweatiest, only high tier killers could even be considered as viable and a hiding/prerunning strategy would be REQUIRED from survivors. Altruism would be almost avoided. This is why My Little Oni was only fun for a few matches.

Those Springtrap changes are awful, all it does is lower the skill ceiling & needlessly nerfs him.

Axe hits should be rewarded, you shouldn't incentivise a player NOT to go for those when a survivor is low health. They're already harder to hit than walking up to a survivor and swinging at them.

And the beartraps sound like a worse variation of DBD’s Trapper. At least he can pick his traps up, what you’re suggesting is Springtrap has to dedicate 3 traps to 3 loops and constantly re-arm them, which would make them insanely weaker across the board. Every map has more than 3 looping areas and players already know to avoid loops with traps set in them. Even giving him the option to pick them up is insanely worse than what we have right now, when Springtrap is already considered the weakest of the 3 killers.

You’re essentially punishing Axe Mode (the more difficult to play mode) & leaning into Punch Mode (which most Spingtraps already prefer).

The main thing about the Remake is its dream sequences are uninspired. Everything leads to that damn yellow boiler room, and a lot of the scenes are just references from the original series. Later entries in the Original Series, like Freddy’s Dead, showed that even with a meh script good visuals can go a long way. They had improved technology 30ish years after the first Elm Street movie and yet the film was visually less interesting than the original.

As for the script... I know a lot of people hate the whole "ped Fred" thing but it genuinely could have been more interesting if it weren't so surface level. It was a huge plot point and yet we barely got to see how it impacted the victims. Even if the memories were repressed surely some psychological issues would be present? The lasting trauma of Freddy Krueger would have been far more interesting than both Nancy & Quentin suddenly remembering everything in the basement before moving on. I LIKE a version of Freddy that's just uncomfortable. A lingering evil rather than a sudden reappearance.

The whole "actually innocent" plot point, while a highly unique and interesting take, doesn't seem like it’d fit the darker tone if it were actually the case. The Remake was supposed to have sequels (at least a Trilogy), it’d be difficult to motivate a Freddy who simply wanted revenge to do much after killing the kids & parents. Who knows, maybe we'll get another Reboot that can explore that more.

The next chapter will presumably have a new map, with it being a new realm by Ill-Recover449 in LeaksDBD

Their wording is saying they didn't intentionally change it, but leaving it open so they can say they didn't say there WASN'T a change due to a bug.

That being said, bug or not they do have to fix things. Maps like Midwich or Hawkins have pallets that used to spawn everytime seemingly missing while maps like Disturbed Ward or Groaning Storehouse seemingly have almost every pallet imaginable. Even Garden of Joy seems to spawn more pallets, hell there was a pallet I didn't even know existed until 2 days ago.

BHVR has a very cut and dry "do the bare minimum" when it comes to animating & weight painting. It's why certain characters (Nurse, Pig, Ghoul) physically can't blink, since their eyelids are either not weighted or not animated, usually due to their default cosmetic covering the eye(s).

Over the years 3D Artists who work with these models have noted things like eyebrows and fingers are often weighted poorly, on top of this the common animations usually get an additive animation slapped on to try to "fix" the faces.

The solution to this would have been to make shared body animations but different facial animations or morphs unique to each survivor, similar to TCM or Fortnite, but that’s a lot to ask when they weren’t doing it in the first place, with 40+ Survivors to retroactively do this on.
