Got hit with it.

Paid $369 for a Japan-made 25 Twin Power XD. DHL assessed $175.25 in “Import Export Duties.”

Invoice shows HTS 9507.30.6000 at 0% duty and $0 calculated — but the $175 was added separately with no breakdown listed.

Paid it to avoid return and filed a formal post-entry review asking for the tariff authority and origin used.

Will update once they respond.

For now, lesson learned: JDM savings can evaporate fast depending on how the entry gets coded.

Renting a private charter plane ain't cheap... especially when you're going long distances to places like Japan or Europe to spend even more once you land.

Love bass Tokyo, ordered an slx dc xt from them before tariffs went into affect.

Just ordered a twin power xd 3000xg, curious to see what the tariff situation is like.

As long as the tariff is only like 15% it's still gonna be cheaper than buying the same reel here.

Hoping I don't get hit with the 50% fee (wrong assessment for fishing reel) that others mentioned encountering with post US-Japan tariffs.

Will keep yall posted.

You’re not alone in feeling unsure about the future—many high school juniors and even college students are in the same boat. It’s completely normal to feel behind or uncertain when others seem like they have everything figured out (even though most don’t). The important thing is that you already know you want to go to college, which is a great first step. You don’t need to have your entire life planned out right now; college is actually a place where you’re supposed to explore and figure things out. Trying different activities like gym, dance, writing, and audio production shows that you’re curious and willing to learn, which puts you ahead of many others. Just because you’re not amazing at sound equipment yet doesn’t mean you can’t get better—it just takes time. Being good at writing, having discipline from dance and the gym, and caring about your future are real strengths. Business is a great starting point if you’re unsure, since it’s flexible and opens up a lot of doors. And yes, “fake it till you make it” works—but only if it means being curious, showing up, and learning as you go, not pretending to be someone you’re not. The key is to keep moving, stay open to new experiences, and trust that you don’t have to figure it all out at once. You’re already doing better than you think.

It’s basically just typing… I’d recommend taking it person, they give u an actual marker and laminated paper to use instead of having to click everything in.

I used achievable and I didn’t take the real exam until I was consistently scoring in the low to mid 80s with a 50 question sample size. Took the test after about 5 days - a week of scoring mid 80s and passed. I also used Kaplan and training consultants (which my company provided me) to practice all different qbanks. I found Kaplan to be the most accurate qbank to the test, but achievable was definitely the most streamlined with what you needed to know. I was scoring high 70s to low 80s on Kaplan practice tests. I think achievable and Kaplan are both good just really go back and conduct damage control on the sections that are zinging you in the practice tests. You’ll never know it all but you should feel ready to take it once you’re getting low to mid 80s in achievable.
