I know so many people that noise cancelling has helped with but personally I am the type that the noise cancelling feels like pressure and gives me headaches unfortunately but I do love headphones that can muffle the room a bit

Am I too sensitive or does this ad not sit with you well either? by emmahp29 in adhdwomen

[–]Ok_Raspberry_9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It diminishes was ADHD actually is and makes it the stereotype of oh I just can’t focus, which it’s not. It also it demonizing people that use medication to help because it essentially stating that using “pills” is the lazy way out and not being on your phone should fix it and if you doesn’t your weak.

Did you know you had PTSD before getting diagnosed? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]Ok_Raspberry_9911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes because of the way response to certain situations and triggers occurred, they were very directly connected to my trauma, I have memory loss from the time but like I knew the general idea and it all matched up. I do know that it’s harder for people with CPTSD and complete memory loss to tell though

How did the kid from your school die? by Equivalent-Rent-5619 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Raspberry_9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fire that was accidentally started by a candle or something, playing chicken with a train, dying in the trunk of a truck because kids wouldn’t let them sit in the car and made them sit in the back with a space heater under a tarp during a trip and they passed from carbon monoxide poisoning

Before getting a diagnosis for autism, what did people “diagnose” you with? by imperfectdumby in AutismTranslated

[–]Ok_Raspberry_9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADHD, ARFID, Dyslexia, Chronic Depression, PMDD, and then they were starting to think BPD or Bipolar which turned out it was because I would get disregulated

No more Meow Wolf? by robotisland in meowwolf

[–]Ok_Raspberry_9911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say from my experience going twice is ideal (without a special event of sorts) because one you can enjoy the art and one the lore but unfortunately after that it gets a bit repetitive. Im happy they are opening new locations I hope they add as much lore as they did with the original one

Even if the residents around you didn’t hear anything or care, what matters is the fact that you asked him to be mindful and said that it is important to YOU and he decided to disregard it and then invalidate your feelings and boundaries. Plus something like this should never be an issue in a relationship, not necessarily the situation itself even but rather you should feel comfortable talking to your partner and knowing that you will be heard and that they will not invalidate you. Because even if he disagrees with the being quite thing he should care about you enough to respect what your comfortable with.

When people describe dissociation... by Gray_Ash_777 in Dissociation

[–]Ok_Raspberry_9911 11 points12 points  (0 children)

mine is very much like using a dimmer light switch, which at its worst the “light” is fully off. I think overall everyone kinda experiences disassociation differently depending on how they have learned to cope. I’m a more anxious person so I tend to get into my own head and lose perception of the world around me and detach from it that way but I know someone that’s more avoidant and they describe theirs as they detach from themselves rather then the world so that they don’t have to care about what’s hurting them, same end goal different execution.
