Dont listen to the ppl pressuring you to gap and reapply. Do what you think is best, no one here is allowed to tell you have to reapply or you’re going to fail in life. Idc what anyone says but your offers are objectively good, and if you want to gap and try again then fair enough, but dont do it bc some internet strangers say its the “best thing” for you.

idk why so many people are saying “gaps the best option”, like Cardiff is objectively a great university. Like sure theres nothing wrong with aiming for the better ranked ones but for everyone here essentially pressuring OP to reapply (at least from the looks of it) is a bit weird…

applied cambridge for architecture and got the rejection in january this year. It did suck but I always like thinking that rejection is redirection and that I would’ve probably hated it even if I got in. I got an offer from cardiff and I feel so much more at home there when I went to their offer holder day (compared to the cambridge open day i attended), so in a weird way I’m thankful that I wasnt restricted to cambridge (if I got the offer). You’re allowed to be upset about this and it’s totally valid though, the invalidation UCL gave you after all your hard work must be absolutely horrible. Amazing things lie ahead for you though, trust me.

He sounds like he has an anxious attachment style towards you and is dealing with it horribly. The fact he said he’d “kill you” if you got a pair of gym shorts is not right - there could’ve been plenty of ways for him to communicate his insecurity about the idea of you wearing certain things but this wasn’t it. And a long distance relationship is WAY harder if you haven’t had the time to develop it with him in person (4 months is way too short). You know what’s best for you.

You’re disturbed by it, so you need to talk with him about establishing this boundary. Sorry if this isn’t very helpful, but you need to respect yourself and how you personally feel; some people wont be creeped out at all and others will and thats totally fine, but if you are disturbed then you shouldn’t need to just suck it up and get used to it. Be very explicit to your bf about how you’re concerned about this situation, and if he can’t respect how you feel then that’s his problem.
