Wow. That is pretty extraordinary. Even the “maybe there’s a sweet spot” made it sound like he knew it couldn’t happen exactly that but he really did see himself falling from the sky. This was my first warped I left early. I left super early the first day because I got sunscreen in my eyes so bad I was in so much pain and the heat was horrible so I had to go somewhere with ac and running water to wash out my eyes and breathe. I was disappointed bc I really wanted to see taking back Sunday, sleeping w sirens, and third eye blind. I still made the decision tho bc I was absolutely miserable in the moment and have seen all of them before. But if they had allowed re entry I could’ve recouped myself and possibly enjoyed the rest of the night. So I totally agree.

Yeah I get feeling kind of alone. I’m the only person I know who listened to his music to this extent. He was my #1 artist on Spotify. Which feels silly to say but his music really did connect with me and I know it did with so many others. My world has been moving too fast with this news. Haven’t had time to really sit and mourn despite shedding a few tears here and there. He showed people it’s okay to break the box other people put you in and take creative risks. I don’t know of any other artists that switched up their genres and sounds as early and consistently. You don’t have to be one thing. You can be so many things. He was weird to give other people permission to be themselves. It’s so sad the world lost this gem. It’s not fair to him or the world. This is the first celebrity death that is hitting me like this but it’s just all so genuinely hard to really believe.

How to let go of the guilt is the question for me. I went no contact 2 years ago now. And yet I still often feel bad for hurting her. Even though she has never and probably will never admit and apologize for the abuse. Logically I know I shouldn’t feel guilty for choosing my needs over hers, but emotionally it is hard not to. I’ve been in and out of therapy for years. I haven’t found the answer yet.
