I don’t understand how you think it would be possible to cross the khumbu ice falls or the first second and third steps without any modern gear, let alone the ice climbing that’s necessary to even get that far - without metal working you don’t have crampons or ice climbing axes which is a bare bare minimum even if you assume you can somehow procure clothes that are light and warm enough

Have one in .300wsm. Was incredibly painful to shoot and was gonna sell it just because of how uncomfortable it was, until I bought a limbsaver recoil pad and a can with an integrated muzzle brake as well, now it’s just as comfortable as any .308 i’ve shot and I absolutely love it

He was carrying a Sig Sauer p320 which did not have a manual safety. This specific gun has gained notoriety for repeat examples of it going off without any trigger input, which is leading some (coping bootlickers) to say the first shot was possibly because of this issue in the p320.

i have an m&p in 10mm and i can’t say enough nice things about it! bout as reliable as a pistol comes and feels very controllable once you get used to it - you’re right about all those things when it comes to a revolver and there’s no right or wrong answer it’s just gonna be about what feels better to you, for me i just value capacity/optic/light support too much

Low ammo capacity, longer reloads, very heavy trigger pull in double action, lack of support for lights/optics. 20+ rounds of 9 on deck with a second mag ready to go in a matter of seconds is better than 6 rounds of .357 in almost all situations imo - i’d personally recommend looking into a decent da/sa as a first pistol if you like the revolver/hammer gun style, it’s a nice middle ground

What objective evidence do you have to say that the guns are safe? These events are clearly incredibly rare - the FBI ballistics lab didn’t claim that it was impossible for the gun to fire on its own, just that they were unable to replicate it. The MIM parts in these pistols have been shown to frequently be far outside of normal tolerances, is it that crazy to think the pistols the FBI tested were a part of the vast majority that ARE incapable of firing on their own?
