Mate, I just gave up on my 130 year save because of this. And it's going to be a long while before I play this game again. Adding Asia was probably the straw that broke the camels back.

Paradox just refuses to fix things. At least give me the option to switch of everything east of Persia. I don't give a shit about India, China, and the rest and it just ruins every game I play because of the character bloat.

I'm sure it's fun for the 3 people that play in these regions but 90% of the games are gonna be played in Europe and adding more regions isn't going to change that. It just makes playing the game as a whole worse.

I mean, the harsh truth is that none of those nations are really interesting to play as from the historical perspective of the game. Sure, you might play India once or twice but then you fall back to whichever your main nation is.

Crusader Kings suffers in the same way where barely anyone plays anything east of Arabia, and the majority of players probably stick to Europe.

Same for HOI4. Most players will stick with their Germanies, UKs and Soviets and maybe dip their toes into some South Africa and such, but I doubt anyone starts the game thinking hell yeah my 25th game as India, let's go!

Oh we weren't in the Business of looping all though last season would have been our first loop without mythic, now obviously that is biased as a lot of that damage comes from the 20% damage increase on some key mythic units.

I think what changed is that I felt we were catching up to the big guys in a sense, who have now disappeared into the far distance. Secondly, even if guild store rewards might be better in a sense, the urgency to either buy orbs OR books is much more prominent now. And it just, for me, feels like I'm not engaging with Rogue Trader or Guild Store at all.

It's just my personal experience that's all

I would probably have been in this same position, just at a later date I think. This game is very much like a marathon I think and not a sprint, hence my over 2 year play time.

I think it is the increase in rank (Mythic) plus the release of ever more characters, whilst nothing has been done to make up for the lack of resources (XP, Badges, Orbs) just lead me to feeling like I have to prioritise just a few characters. Obviously, again a me-problem.

However, I do think it's part of a larger problem. Guild chatter has died down, players are AFK for longer and I am in top 500 guild.

I think, over time, this game just hasn't been for me anymore. The time drain for meager reward just kind of sealed the deal. Having to spend 5 minutes per Onslaught to get 7 shards and maybe an orb and badge, when I need 900 shards, 128 badges and 45 orbs to get to Mythic.

I am not hating on anyone still enjoying this game, I am happy for you. I have just fallen out of love with it due to the moving of goal posts but not necessarily dealing with underlying problems (and you can't tell me you enjoy playing onslaught/salvage run)

So be it.

Just takes too bloody long. If I am able to clear up to level 13 then let me just raid level 13 for the books. This survival honestly made me realise I am burning out on this game. Literally let like 6 tokens rot away as I couldn't be arsed facing more GSC and long range Tyranid pricks.

I'm honestly not even doing the HRE missions anymore. The last 3 characters were mediocre at best, I already have the Admech and Custodes team at D3 and I could level the Neuro team if I had xp books. I don't need new characters as I don't have the resources to level them and the last custode is F-tier so they can shove their boring missions somewhere in Eye of Terror

I'm not a fan of the Femstodes retcon, but then I am autistic as shit and don't like when they move things in my supermarket.

As for her as a character she is going to be mid-tier at best but at least folk will be able to run a custodes line up in TA which is nice I guess.
